Love getting a guy who doesn't have to learn our system on the fly

LFG! Great job by the FO. Didn't think this trade would be available.

Love it. He was awesome last year and he played like a all star for us.

Love having GP2 back.

And also pretty awful that the #2 pick ended up getting us... literally nothing. We drafted him, then 3 years later he's gone for nothing. Just an awful pick lol

So... you're glad we got Payton, and sad we got nothing. How does that work?

Wiseman for Payton (with some financial benefits). Not horrible, given how things transpired. A bit disappointing. I still won't be surprised if Wiseman ends up being much more valuable than that, but it will likely take some time, and I can understand trading him for a benefit in the present.

Deal has strong “well f :censored: it then, I’m leaving anyway” vibes from Meyers

So all my ranting about how the Warriors should have just dumped Wisemans salary so they could have kept OPJ and Payton is sort of coming true.

I'll be accepting apologies all week.

I actually don't love this move. I felt DDV was already playing his role more than well enough.

Meyers did fight for Payton to get the last roster spot back in the day.

I’m imagining Meyers stink eyeing Kerr for refusing to play the guys he got him in the draft and so he took a guy he knows Kerr will play

Awesome trades overall to make this work -- GPII just fits so perfectly here, so happy to see Wiseman gone and GPII back. Never thought this would actually happen!

I just don't think GP2 is enough to get us over the hump this year, even assuming he can stay healthy. Feel like we're missing the OPJ role more than the GP2 role and we didn't address that. Don't get me wrong, I like GP2 and I'm glad he's back on the team but I don't have a good feeling for our trajectory the rest of the year, I think we're heading for the play-in at best and that's even assuming Steph isn't out a long time.

It was worth giving Wiseman a shot to improve and get into the rotation since he had barely seen the court his first two seasons.

I'm thrilled to have gotten anything for Wiseman other than a warm six back of expired Fanta

It was worth seeing what we had. I gave up on him during the Nuggets game, dude just has zero basketball instincts.

Yup agreed. All I was saying is that I'm happy we pulled the plug on the Wiseman experiment by bringing back a player that was great on our team. But also acknowledging just how awful the wiseman experience was. Hope he has a good career in Detroit.
