I really hope they don't sign Rudy Gay. He's washed.

I'd rather the team wait a bit and see how everything shakes out even if it takes a few months.[/quote]

He's just a 3&D guy at this stage, but he's still a good defender. Utah didnt have much of a system last year.. I wouldnt hate it, other than the fact that it'd start logjamming at SF/PF/C

I'd also look at last year's shooting as more of an outlier than anything, shooting doesnt age like that. Just like in SA, if you give him a good PG, the shooting will spike. If its a unit ran by the likes of Jordan Clarkson, well..

I just think he's cooked. Usman Garuba is a more appealing candidate that OKC might cut.

lol you're preaching directly to the choir on that one

I refuse to get my hopes up though, I'm treating it like a dream scenario. But maybe.. also in this unlikely event, I'd want to trade for him, not sign him. Want those bird rights.. lock him up under Draymond's wing for a few years. We've never had a legit backup Draymond before, and while Garuba obviously cant be the playmaker Draymond is, defensively he has the potential to be the same kind of swiss army knife. So more like a Draymond on defense and Looney on offense kind of skillset, as a ceiling?

The only guy I've ever locked onto hard that the Warriors wound up getting was Moody.. guys like Garuba, Koloko and Sheppard I'd all still really like to get, any one of them
