No moral victories but this game did give further clarity. People know what needs to be done and knowing is half the battle.

Playing saric as the c when dray sits had alot to do with it.

That loon/saric pairing also has to end.

Jk and wiggins can play together.

Pretty tired of the act. That was a wretched game on all sides, objectively, but it’s time to move on.

I feel like people have known for a long time.

The question is whether KERR knows. Or rather, whether he's willing to act on what's been slapping him in the face for over 2.5 seasons now.

Saric is a poor defender and the first one that should be included in a trade package imo.
CP3 is the second player that comes to my mind.

That isn’t changing unless mdj removes that option. I highly doubt he does though

In the Cohan era, the trade deadline was basketball Christmas. It didnt change much, but ANY change was a welcome sight to give us brief, fleeting hope. Since they wont trade Curry and its unlikely they trade Dray, I'm on board with almost any idea at this point

Chris Paul and Moody and 2 lottery protected 1sts for DeJounte Murray. The goal is just to reach the conference finals. Once in the conference finals there is a tiny chance of a Warriors chamionship.

Then we trade DeJounte Murray at the trade deadline next year for 2 non lottery protected 1sts. We are just renting DeJounte Murray for a year. Next year with Steph Klay and Dray older the dynasty is formally over so there is no reaso to rent DeJounte Murray for a 2nd year.

In Summer 2025 Kuminga should be nearing peak trade value so Trade Kuminga for draft picks.

Stock pile draft picks to win the 2038 chamionship with a new group of players none of whom have been drafted yet or are in the NBA yet.

They only need to win about 75% of their remaining games to get the 6 seed, they got this.

Wiggins was also very good defensively, getting stocks and providing alot of help.
Those two covered alot of defensive space tonight, but they can't be everywhere all the time.

Then we have 3 stationary defenders.

We are 1 defender in the starting line up away from going on a run.

I'd consider playing loon with dray and wiggins.
Jk play on ball and hide steph. Or insert moody for klay.

Klay was really hurting the chemistry of the defense tonight. Even with steph on the floor, klay was getting targeted in half court sets.

Yep, the isos on Klay were obvious. And he got beat every time. He did make some clutch shots late in the game. I think he still could be a helpful player but it's criminal trying to make him guard Lebron over and over again.

He was fine matched up vs guys like rui or prince, Playing against the bench mitigates his bad defense. But when he plays vs starters with steph on the floor, he's getting hunted.

Jk plays capable on ball defense and dray and wiggs often are shaded to help steph.

Just like the kings game, teams are targeting the klay/jk side of the floor.

And they are going right at him. Dray and wiggins are on the otherside of the floor, so can't help.

So in order to placate klay, kerr puts us in a defensive bind. And that's only the halfcourt.

Transition is another problem with klay and saric specifically not making the right read and going to a man that's already covered.

This isn't 1 game. This has been the whole season.

wrong both players are playing well this season, as 6-8 man they are among the best in the league. The problem is not the 6-8 man but your 3-5 JK/Wiggins/Klay. You either hope they turn around or make a trade.

I see them 0.00000% of turning around, all three of them together.

Whether there was any hope of Kuminga and Wiggins working together was still an open question even recently. If that has been answered then that is a major piece of the puzzle that has been addressed. I'm still optimistic about this team's chances. One can see how it can work. But yes Kerr looks like he's going to be a major impediment if he doesn't start shifting quickly.

If they can do that they will be playing well when the playoffs arrive. That is kind of what happened in 2022.

Everyone has known for a very long time. Only the dumbass coach and some fans like to think otherwise. They can keep their moral victories and not even be a playin team.

This doesn't help this season.
Does Murray come off the bench?
Does jk?
Does wiggins?

A Murray move now just moves klay to sf to guard the best wing player and getting 30+ minutes. We'd still have a big defensive problem.

It could help next season if klay is let go and we run a steph/Murray backcourt with dray, wiggs, and jk.

I think he knows. He has been playing them separately a lot lately. Now he needs to cut Klay’s minutes back at the start of each half.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.
