Warriors fans justifiably get confused sometimes when they see a good coach push a team past their potential lol

Those losses to the bulls and spurs ... lmao

We'd be right in the mix for 6 and we still have 2 more games against dallas.

Or a coach push a team at all.

Golden State Warriors roster average age: 28
Houston Rockets roster average age: 27

At this point I'm convinced no Kerr apologist has actually watched a game in 5 years

Or maybe a coach that is like maybe we should try to win, let's push our main guys over 34 min this game?

Yeah but in terms of starters, Houston = 24, GS = 28. And that's with Kuminga and Podz. And 38 year old CP3 and 34 year old Klay playing nearly-starter minutes off the bench.

Or looked at another way, age among the top 5 minutes per game for both teams, Houston = 24.4, GS = 30.8. And that doesn't count Sengun, which would make Houston even younger, or CP3 (#6), which would make GS even older.

CP hasn't broken 24 min since Steph has been back. I really don't think Kerr has overplayed CP since Curry's return. It's playing CP, Podz, GP2, Klay, TJD. Really probably should play Moody over podz since CP and Klay do all of the handling on the bench unit.

Yes, but that part is Kerr's choice is the point :)

One thing I admire that Imeke did is controlling his new vets, Brooks and FVV.

He stopped pursuing Harden because he wanted his young guys to get the touches and shots.

Then they signed Brooks and FVV, two guys who were known for calling their own number way too much.

When they got to Houston however, both ended up accepting big drops in usage and FGAs.

Got to see the need and make the ask. Maybe that’s hard to do 10 years in. Still need to do it.

I believe in this team....this roster....I think they hang on to tenth or maybe even shock the world and climb to 9th!

I really feel like they have a better chance of finishing 11th than 9th right now, although chances are they finish right where they are at #10. They're going on a long road trip (with a couple home games randomly chucked in) where they've been better than at home, but a long late season road trip for an old team trying to find the right formula feels problematic when they really need to basically win out. And a lot of the teams they're playing are motivated to win for playoff positioning.

2-3 more losses and I think their season is over because at that point one thing will break the team. A Draymond suspension or his back flaring up, Steph's ankle, Wiggins takes another leave of absence, Kuminga rolls an ankle...who knows what, but it would not take much to completely derail the season at this point.

But hey, what’s the odds that Houston will get hot this time of year, right?
