Sure. I'll play. The Great Ham predicts ...

50-32
Yes, they firmly make the playoffs.
So, no play-in.
They play hard. We get excited as they win in the first rounds. Then they lose in the WCF.

Who beats us in the playoffs?

Assuming we're fully healthy and Steph/Dray haven't lost a step, the only teams I think are a genuine level above us are Boston and OKC. And the Celtics are terrified of Steph.

Maybe Memphis I guess depending on how good Edey is.

1. Regular season record: 47-35. Could be more wins but I think injuries/rest will put a cap on it. They have enough good role players to beat bad teams regularly, not enough star power (guys who can take over when Steph is off) to handle the good ones.

2. Playoffs (Y/N): Y (via play-in)

3. Play-in (Y/N): Y

4: How deep-and-far the team will go into the playoffs: I'll be optimistic and say they make it out of the play-in, but that's a stretch considering their past performance. First round exit.

Always fun to guess, but without knowing who's healthy or not, nobody knows what will happen this year -- especially in the playoffs. I think most people here are pretty close. I'll guess 48 wins and out in the WCF, but always hoping for another chip. If Boston is healthy, there's no way the Dubs win that series, but you never know.

50 games, 2nd round exit

My heart says WCF but my head says 2nd round max. I think we're deep enough to grind through regular season wins, especially as stars rest a lot these days. But we'll come up short against the big guns when they are fully loaded in the playoffs without a big trade.

I’m curious how the details of the George/Lauri pursuit will affect the team.

I know that guys always know they might be traded. Seems different though when they’re essentially saying “we were hoping to dump ALL of you to help Draymond & Steph.”

“We wish all of you were gone.”

One thing I do like about this season no guys I absolutely will hate when Kerr plays them ahead of Moody or just plays them period.

No Lester Quinoneses. No Anthony Lambs. No Ty Jeromes. No Cory Josephs. No Brad Wanamakers. No Jamychal Greens.

Every minute should be somewhat watchable unless Buddy Hield turns into a complete frog/fraud and Kerr refuses to give up playing 4 midget guards together.

last year we were at 46, and that was barely enough to get us into the play in

i do think we're deeper this year and hopefully healthier, and maybe the vibes are a bit better without Klay pouting about why he's not taking all the shots...i'll say 48 but we probably need 50 to avoid the play in altogether and get in as a PO team.

OKC looks like an absolute animal and will probably be the best team in the conference, Denver will be Denver, but outside of those 2 I think every team in the WC is beatable in a 7 game series.

The cop-out but accurate answer is that any prediction is just a dice roll on how many games Steph/Dray are healthy for.

This team has enough good role players and depth that if Steph/Dray play the majority of the year healthy, they can win 50+ games and be a playoff threat to anyone (except maybe the Celtics and Thunder).

That depth does up the floor though if Steph/Dray do miss substantial time (especially with Stotts incorporating some more traditional non-steph offensive sets). I think they can be a gritty underdog that fights for play-in status even if things don't go well in terms of unlucky injuries and slumps. Point is, I don't see a scenario they are bad enough to play Capture The Flagg, so grinding to stay as close to the top 8 regardless is the name of the game this year.

Assuming no major injuries to steph/dray, I think we surprise everyone in the regular season, win 52 and finish 3rd in the west. That said, we don't take care of business in the first 2 rounds, steph and dray get tired playing every other day for 10 games and run out of gas in game 7 of WCF.
