2024-25 NBA Draft Talk

Post#1 » by EvanZ » Tue Nov 5, 2024 2:37 pm

The NCAAM season began last night. Top performance of the night was Derik Queen (Marylan) with 22 pts and 20 rebounds. He was the #14 RSCI recruit.

Jase Richardson looks pretty good. JRich's kid if you didn't already know. Should be fun to follow his career.

I don’t see him in mock drafts.

He was born in Berkeley!

I liked watching JR but he wasn’t a winning player. For all his athleticism, his main impact was having these crazy shotmaking games.

Maybe the son will have a more diversified game but he hasn’t shown out yet, early in his college career at MSU.

Well the Warriors have their SRP and they’re currently being mocked in the late 20s and late 50s.

He's the #31 recruit and he's currently got a 9.0 BPM. He's definitely showing out, maybe not in the "showy" ways that draft casuals typically notice, but he's most definitely opening eyes to the guys like me that look deeper. For example, he has 11 ast to only 1 tov. Also a 73% TS%. Obviously small sample size, but if he kept up these kinds of numbers he'd be a top 10 pick. Very different player than his dad for sure.

Keep an eye on Kasparas Jakucionis. He's a perfect fit for us. But I think he'll end up going much higher than our slot.

We could use a center like Ivisic. I think the Illinois one might be better than the Arkansas one.

Fears would be a tremendous pick if we want to rebuild. We need to hit stars. And he's potentially one of those. McNeeley is just a guy. Pretty meh. Basically Kispert if you're lucky.

The problem, as always, is that the Warriors aren't going to be bad enough to get Fears. I predict he'll end up going pretty close to top 5 if not higher.

Yeah well, where the Warriors will be most likely picking they will probably have a choice between a guy like, Fears, who has star potential but turns the ball over a lot and isn't a high % 3pt shooter and a guy like, McNeely, who has some size and can pass, shoot, and dribble but is most likely a roll player.

Also, if the current play holds up, they might have a top 5 pick.

Is Fears the best 10-15 range target?

Kasparas is my native player. It would be amazing to see him in GSW uniform. I started with Marciulionis to follow NBA and GSW become my favourite team.

I have fond memories of time spent in Kaunas in my 20s

Rasheer Fleming is really intriguing. He’s going to be the type of wing everyone looks for.
