This has to be about showcasing jk. It makes no sense otherwise.
My first thought was.. here we go again
Second thought - if this means more Dray at C, I'm for it. But JK for 25-30 minutes isnt good... he's not the Klay replacement. He's not guarding on-ball like Klay was with great help defenders behind him. We're barreling towards the exact results of the past 2 seasons by again going with Kerr's rote path
So.. just losing a lot of faith in Kerr. Again. Data once again means nothing, and we're back to coaching by Kerr's feel. That not gone well when there's any real adversity, which there definitely is now and going forward.
And if it is a JK showcase, which I really doubt, for what purpose? So they can cobble him, Melton and 2 useful rotation players to get a star? First off, the options will be very limited, and second off, thats not how the team is going to win. That methodology worked when Steph and Dray were in their primes, AND had a prime Klay and KD
Disappointing development. I dont even know how many injuries it would take for Kerr to put Hield in w/the starters at this point. He's literally favoring a guy who is out of the rotation at full health ahead of him. All to avoid the lineup that plays best together. There's no justifying this
