I'm not sure if he's even been better than Wiggins this year if u include defense.

I'm not sure if there's even a fit, but if the desire is to big fish hunting, he's a big fish.

Is a deal even possible?

Warriors are linked to everyone. I'd rather do a deal with the nets than get Jimmy.

We are offering melton + draft incentives.

Butter would cost Wiggs, Payton and Melton and draft picks or one of Kuminga/Podz. Also he wants max contract and GSW could lose him for nothing next summer. Huge red flag

Schroder and Cam would be interesting. Melton/Payton/Kyle + draft compensation (1st protected and swap).

This is really the only team I want to do business with. DS and CJo. I highly doubt we would trade for Cjo though since it would most likely have to include GP and JK and maybe a 1st. But get me DS.

I'm not moving Wiggins for Butler.

Not a single Butler trade makes any sense.. we aren’t in the Woj era anymore

Same with DFS - why? A role playing defensive forward that’s hitting 3s this year only?

Schroeder only please.. Warriors never make huge deals mid season, the idea that multiple players would be incoming is crazy too

I'm down with Schroeder and I'm out on Jimmy Butler.

I could see them making a big move early enough in the season instead of waiting until the deadline if there was a target worth going all in for....which there currently isn't.

The only big named player that could possibly be available that I would even want is AD. I don't think there's another player worth making a big move for that could even come available. Maybe Bam if the heat really want to reset. Otherwise I'm only looking to make moves around the margins.

Blazers are putting everyone on the block too, but dubs aren't linked.

If they do target Schroeder, mjd should go for it quickly rather than wait for a desperate team who missed out on someone else overpay.

yeah what kinda reporting is this - there is zero percent chance we're getting Butler. what would a deal even look like? makes no sense we're not giving up wiggins or dray AND gutting our depth for him

shroeder and cam johnson would be dreams.

OKC needs a PG and should be highly motivated.. Wolves and Suns probably will be involved as well. Schroeder brings something unique to the table, and Nets have no motivation to sell now unless it’s a good deal. Don’t think there will be a buy-low window here

This will probably go just like the offseason. MJD & co will act like they're interested in making a move but actually do nothing.

Think Ant Simons would be a fallback, but since he makes more makes it more difficult to make it happen.

We should just overpay for DS. Give up a lottery protected first in 25

I don't see MDJ dealing for Butler. Smells of desperation.

And now that I've made that prediction, the deal will be made in 3, 2, 1....

Butler is way too expensive and we'd have to give up too much.

Make a deal with the Nets for Schröder.

Draymond/Melton/Payton/Moody/Draft picks-cash-whatever for Butler/Filler-Draft picks-cash-whatever would get close financially.

Curry/Podz
Butler/Hield
Wiggins/Waters
Kuminga/Anderson
Looney/TJD

Fill out the roster somehow.

I'll show myself out.

It's very possible that the time to trade for Butler was when Miami got him, maybe earlier. Not everyone ages like Lebron and Steph.

To make it work financially and roster wise for Butler, and not have additional teams added, you're looking at Wiggins/Kuminga/Melton/GP2 for Butler/Thomas Bryant/Alex Burks/Josh Richardson.

Looney/TJD/Bryant
Dray/SloMo
Butler/Moody/Burks
Hield/Richardson/Lindy
Steph/Podz

Only Brightside would be if you held onto draft picks, because with that lack of spacing, perimeter defense and POA defense, those picks would likely end up pretty valuable.

Wiggs and Dray make about the same amount.
