The Rebuild Thread

Seems like the time to begin this thread. I was thinking about it in the offseason, but then i liked the moves (Klay out, Melton Heild Slowmo in) so i decided to wait. Then the hot start fooled me.

But now things are clearer and its time for a rebuild. Its going happen, just a matter of when.

Nah it's Steve Kerr's fault, just tweak the rotations and add Schroder.

the rebuild with who? with this current FO and ownership that think to be "light years ahead"?
the rebuild should start in the control room.

How many years left on Steph’s contract?

Rebuild with who? Lacob the GM? Or the coach who knows how to roll the ball for the self-managing superstar roster and massage their egos and relationships. They had three years window to sort of rebuild on the fly with 3 lotto pics and one not far from it. How any of those pics worked out? What does give us the confidence they'll make the right choices and solidly rebuild?

Also not a ton of assets to move. If they do decide to rebuild in the offseason, they aren't going to have a ton to work with. If they truly want to rebuild, they have to move on from Curry. Dray probably not as much, but only because he wont impact the W/L column on his own. Well not in a way that a rebuilding team would mind, anyways

But 1st game with a new player, Curry and Dray were annihilated.. still a lot of time

People are so quick to go back into the dark ages.

this is like the Foundation Trilogy. The Dark Ages are coming to the Empire no matter what. It's jsut a question of shortening them by 1000 years.

If they are really closing the book on steph, we should open a bidding war on Wiggins. Just don't ask the trade board, they want a couple of unprotected picks with any mention of Wiggins.

Keep podz, moody, and tjd. Trade jk for any pick you can get. Jk at 35M/yr is not something you would want on a rebuild.

But I'd prefer to give this group more time and hour kerr figures out these rotations. He's riding or oblivious to the obvious. He's tried everything but the starting unit that best replicates dubs ball.

You forgot the green font.

For the last few years this board has complained to no end that our young talent is being held back by Kerr.

Should be pretty clear now that we have no young talent, time to pick a lane either way but, moody, podz, tjd, kuminga are future bench players.

You're not shortening it, you're just making it longer. Just because you start something earlier doesn't mean you come out of it sooner.

Although if we were to get AJ Dybantsa maybe we do. Though it won't matter who we bring in if we continue to play 2 non shooters every time down the court.

So disrespectful to Curry and everything he did here. I really resent our front office

Curry's gassed at 36/37 years old not even halfway of the season. Draymond's inability to be effective on both sides last night showed. These 2 vets just had a really bad game by an overly prepared Memphis team. And Shroeder just got here. Give the next couple of games, maybe a few bigger moves along the way, let them figure it out and we'll be fine. RELAX.

 Disrespectful how???

The FO has gone above and beyond as long as they were able to do so.

After the 22 title, which was the cherry on top and was attainable due to the team getting something for nothing when KD went to the Nets, the league changed the CBA and made surrounding Curry with enough talent to contend nearly impossible.

Curry has been beyond amazing for the past 10 years and he was able to stand on top of the league 4 times in his career. Not many all time greats get to say that. Fans need to quit crying and just enjoy the glow of a dynasty for the first time in team history.

Lacob hanging on to Podz and Kuminga instead of doing everything they could to win with whatever Curry and Green have left is trash. if you disagree, cool.

Not sure if you have watched the last 3 games or so but Steph and Draymond have been a big part of the losing. Do you see either of them elevating their teammates?

It would take an all-star roster to get those two another chip, IMO.

Doesn't matter to me. They should have done more this summer regardless of the outcome of our last 11 games

Curry was pretty good against dallas. If we weren’t experimenting we would’ve been in that game. If we weren’t experimenting we would’ve beat the rockets as well.

We’re still experimenting with lineups and haven’t even played our best lineup yet. Until we do it’s hard to make any proclamations about the team and their demise.

Best lineup being curry/hield/wiggins/dray
