I wouldn't be mad or our FO shouldn't persuade him to stay a Warriors for life. I think with the make up of our team and how bad this team has been in the last 2-3 years, I really do think this might be it for our team and Curry has every right to demand for a trade if he wants to maximize his later years to get 1-2 more 'ships.

Do we really have assets to trade for a superstar talent? Who wants to play with an aging Curry and, to a lesser extent, Draymond? Outside of those two, there isn't really anything exciting about this team that says yeah, this team can go deep in the playoffs.

Lets just face the music and be accepting of this fact. Appreciate what we had the last decade, fellas. Good things don't last forever. So, be forever grateful!

I want Steph to win another one, but I also want him to stay here. I would be fine if he failed here and we actually put forth a real effort to try to win one. But this save my assets for when you retire is so damn frustrating.

It's funny how long it took everyone except me to get to this point. It's unfortunate because this is such a deep draft loaded with talent that could help us rebuild, but we are not prepared to tank and do not have loads of picks from trading our core a year or two ago.

I've said for awhile if Steph wants out I'd be sad, but understand and accommodate.

Hey you wanted to trade Steph before the dynasty occurred, so you were ahead of everyone for sure!

If the FO is smart enough (And I will get flack for this), trade Steph for potential 1st round picks while he's still a productive superstar. We danced around the last couple of years trying to bolster up this team with talent that can help Curry, but end up being flat (Add this season, too). Curry wants to finish with one franchise, but think we just don't have the current pieces and future assets to help propel him to get him another 'ship or two here anymore.

We all need to stop being delusional and be more realistic.

Well if Curry wanted to finish with one franchise he should have taken a DISCOUNT... but he didn't.

Watching him walk around at the end of yesterday's game all frustrated, I can't work up much sympathy. Maybe he can buy some gold-plated tissues and lay down in the bed he made.

Geeze, 16yrs here but let's keep lining those pockets.

Personally I don't care if he's a one franchise player or not. Let him go and rip the band-aid off. He will obviously always be remembered as a warrior above all else. The greatest Dub of all time. Leave on a high and let the team recoup some assets.

I sure ain't looking forward to watching gray-haired Steph and Dray in two years time playing on those inflated ugly contracts.

Steph is the most exciting player I've ever watched but I don't understand this obsession with him retiring with the same team. To me that's a footnote, not an achievement. Players like Jordan, Hakeem, Malone, Montana, Rice, and many others finished their careers with another team. It doesn't diminish their legacy one bit, or what they meant to the city/area they spent the best part of their career in.

My preference would be to have Steph stay here with a competitive team, but if that can't happen I have no problem with him going elsewhere (hopefully not for nothing). Steph himself is partly to blame for accepting that ridiculous extension. He had to know that was going to make it more difficult to field a competitive team.

I've checked out this season, it makes it easier.

I think the term 'suffer' is a little extreme. People in poverty suffer, people caught up in war suffer. Steph Curry, is not suffering anything. He can ask for a trade if he wants, he's definitely in charge of that destiny. If he plays out his career with us and we middle through until he retires, it's fine. Dirk did that, Kobe did that. Not every legendary 1-team player gets the luxury of a new all-time player coming through to propel the aging star to a final end-of-career title, like D-Rob did with Duncan, and even Duncan did with Kawhi. I think we messed that chance up with Wiseman, it's a shame he turned out to have the IQ and mentality of a stale peanut.

So to answer your question, no it's not giving me joy, that's why I'm not watching now. I'll watch the highlights and keep checking in here to find out what is going on, but I'm not watching this mediocrity now. It's fine though.

Exactly lol. 16yrs here and the greatest to wear the jersey of all time. He would always be remembered as a dub and nothing else.

Yep.

I watched through the late 90's and 2000's teams from afar, I think I get the rarity of Steph Curry just fine and I'm happy for him to retire with us. We'll get back to the top after Steph, we have a GREAT owner. I can be patient once again.
