Game 38: Dubs (19-18) @ Pacers (20-18), 01/10, 4:00 pm

OUT for Warriors: Steph, Dray, Wiggs, Kuminga, GP2, Podz
GTD for Warriors: Moody, TJD

OUT for Pacers: Nesmith
GTD for Pacers: Haliburton, Turner

We're fielding a bench / G-League team out there, things are dire. Even if Haliburton and Turner don't play (and I'm guessing they won't because why risk it?), this is an uphill battle for this savaged Warriors roster. By my count, the Warriors are only fielding at most 10 players, and that's IF Moody and TJD can go. There's a chance they only have 8 players available unless there's someone else they can call up for emergency work. Normally I'm all in on Kerr criticism, but I feel bad for him tonight, it's a wretched hand he's been dealt. Also Draymond out for a back injury again is concerning...those don't tend to get better over time at that age, even if you aren't playing basketball.

Probably should have filled that 3rd two-way spot.

More likely to be scheduled rest (or saving Dray the trouble of getting ejected w/o Curry)

Going to watch this one closely. If ever there were a game to entirely abandon the motion offense and run a more halfcourt offense, this is it. Prime beneficiaries of the motion are Steph, Dray, Podz, GP2.. Wiggins is on the cusp put is pretty good in slowed down sets as well

I dont expect Kerr to do it, nor do I expect him to change anything, but I think the team will look better in slowed sets tonight. If they are trying to win, a heavy dose of Schroder PnRs should be on tap. And if so, floating shooters like Hield, Moody and Lindy should be given all they can eat. But I'm mentally ready to see more forcing Schroder into a motion offense which will result in a lot more contested looks instead

They have enough room under the hard cap to sign 10 day contracts. If this looks like going on very long they have to be looking around.

I just cannot see Gui's name without pronouncing it gooey. I'm an old school developer. Retired web developer who started out developing children's educational software at the beginning of time. I've been saying gooey since the beginning and now I can't even remember if it's pronounced Guy or Ghee. And I mean absolutely no disrespect to him. His game last night was incredible to watch. He was freaking everywhere and hitting everything!

According to Slater, Moody and TJD are available to play (although maybe not 100% condition).

Ten available players for the Warriors tonight at Pacers

Starters

Dennis Schröder
Buddy Hield
Lindy Waters III
Kyle Anderson
Trayce Jackson-Davis

Bench

Kevon Looney
Gui Santos
Pat Spencer
Moses Moody
Quinten Post

Still unclear if Haliburton and/or Turner will play. On one hand, they can probably beat this ragged Warriors crew without them, on the other hand they're also fighting for a playoff spot (currently #7 in the East).

Damn, looks like Haliburton and Turner are playing, they're no longer listed as GTD or OUT. This one could be very ugly, although when you mix things up this much, you never know what's going to happen for sure.

Still not too hopeful, but impressive showing so far. These young guys aren't rolling over anyway.

If this team could finish a **** layup I swear they'd have about 10 more wins.

Still, tenacious D keeping them in it, I love it. One advantage of this skeleton crew is the other team has no idea what to expect, or how to gameplan against anything.

We're leaving a lot of points at the rim.

Really, really good showing from the final 10 on the roster.. especially considering that we're still full bore with the motion offense and they just arent good at it. If the first read isnt there, you can basically hear the old modem noise and that buffering circle appear over their head. Only 3 Schroder PnRs in the whole half too - 1 bounced off TJD's hands, 1 TJD missed layup, 1 Looney TO :dontknow:

But aside from Moody, dont think anyone is playing particularly poorly. No one playing particularly well either though
