Play-In Game Thread GSW VS MEM

Really need this win. This was always going to be the issue with going all out to get that 6th seed. That we would be exhausted because of the schedule and having so many games with all that travel and now we're tired, injured with a do or die game for our playoff lives. Let's see if we can come out with the heart of a champion and get it done. We desperately need the rest.

First challenge will be not letting them get too physical with us, at least not without fighting back. If you get bullied and don't match the intensity, you're dead. If they can do that then the second thing should be enough to win the game and that is just stop doing stupid things. No more lazy one-handed passes, no stepping out of bounds, not shot clock violations because you wasted the first 10 seconds dribbling in place instead of working the ball around for a good shot, no 8 second violations because you were too casual bringing the ball up, no fouling guys far from the hoop with time running out. No unnecessary double teams. Those are all preventable things.
And FFS no season on the line final shots by Buddy Hield or Draymond layups.

That three ball looks nice though!

Kerr shoulda drew up a play to get Draymond a three.

I'm so mad at Steve Kerr...but can't argue with success. These rotations though.

With Jimmy banged up and having played 48 minutes the other night, and Moody out or iffy, I would think it's likely. But it's Kerr so I don't know, it could be 30 minutes of GP2 instead or something.

I have to believe Kuminga doesn't do what Kerr asks him to do. So if Kerr is calling a play in a certain sequesce to set up for a play down the road, Kuminga may be screwing that up by looking for his shot vs runing the offense. If this is true, to play him while defying the coach is a horrible way to develop a player, that player will never hit their ceiling just doing what they want to do. Just watching Kumniga for the last few weeks, I can't believe how often he beraks the offense yet people seem to be ok with it because he may score or get a foul call most of the time. Either you run an offense or there's really no reason to have a coach. If Kuminga was good enough he'd force Kerr to play him or Kerr would be gone for not utilizing him.

Moody giving NBA Finals Harrison Barnes vibes... at least Jimmy looked explosive on that drive.

Curry can't be more wide open than that. They're making their threes and we're not.

This is going as I expected. Stupid Kerr telling his stars to be old. What was he thinking?
