So good news..ish? The Warriors will need to win 1 of the 2 home games and hope Steph is 100% back by game 5 in Minny.

If the Warriors can win at least 1 of the next three games, they may want to sit Curry for game 5 and let him rest to game 6 (that would be 12 days to rehab).

About the best news it could have been. But they're gonna need to take 1 more game without him for sure.

Also why does this *** always have to leak? Why do the Warriors always wait until the last possible minute to release the information, if they already know the diagnosis? Pretty sure the Wolves have to prepare for role players anyway since everybody assumed Curry would miss at least 1-2 more games regardless, and there's probably not much preparing for Steph they don't already know.

Golden State is winning because of its defense and with Curry out it's possible the defense will get better; at worst it should be as good as it was.

Missing Curry's offense hurts, no doubt, but TOs should drop, maybe Butler will be able to move better (since the fall) in the next few days where he can go into scoring mode.

Buddy should continue getting FGA and over time he should be a solid scorer per game with a lot of shots, GS needs Draymond to keep taking open 3s, Podz needs to be a high teens to 20+ ppg scorer and 1-2 each game from Kuminga, Post, Moody, GP2, Santos or Spencer needs to drop in ~10 points in different games.

Curry is out the next 3 games, looks like he'll be revaluated before game 5.

This info is probably something Butler needed to hear, I don't think he wants to let Curry down.

It sucks but it could have been much worse. Dubs obviously need to bring full intensity and Jimmy needs to assume a larger role, but in a funny way it's kind of like they have to become the Rockets for the next few games.

Minnesota will obviously play better than they did in game 1, but they still feel more like a soft-ish regular season team than a playoff team to me. The drop off in defensive intensity from the Rockets is noticeable and benefits the Dubs tremendously. In theory it should allow guys like Moody, Post, Kuminga, and Santos to get going, although we haven't seen it yet.

It was a lot of speculation of what a ramp up Edwards would be compared to Green. But one thing is Green and FVV both have to be accounted for. The aspect that benefits us is Conley and DDV are not huge offensive threats and so that defender can help off significantly and preserve more energy.

As far as the Wolves defense, they are more upright and defend you straight up. They slide with you and try to funnel you into Gobert or Naz if Naz is at center.

The Rockets on the other hand are more of a push team. Adams, Sengun, Eason, Brooks, FVV all push, wrestle, grab. The Rockets played what they used to call a prison style basketball where its all about seeing what you can get away with, the complete opposite of like a run and gun or even princeton style basketball.

I'm sure if we lose the next 2, he'd play game 4. Let's hope that doesn't happen!

We just need 1 game in the next 3. We look like we can defend them so that should at least keep us in the game.

Time for Kuminga to grow up, stop hosting his own personal pity party and CONTRIBUTE.

Defense wont be enough to get a win. Even elite defenses struggle when they turn it over or brick on offense. There will have to be a somewhat decent offense to empower the defense to do its thing.

This quote from Looney makes me think they're going to get this done for Steph. Or at least extend it long enough for him to get back.

“It’s super motivating,” Kevon Looney told Thompson “He’s carried a lot of us on his back to the highest level. He set a high standard, and you just want to kind of follow that. He knows we got his back. However long it’s gonna be, we’re gonna go out there and fight and try to win.

“We ain’t gon’ put our heads down. We know how to fight. We know how to be the men at war.”

Hopefully Buddy extends his hot shooting but Podz and Moody better give the team something if we are to win another game without Steph.

Goal is for Steph to come back to a 2-2 or at worst 2-3 series. You never want to have to win 3 in a row.

In a strange way, Houston did us a favor with all the physicality bordering on violence and intense defense. There's nothing comparable the Wolves can throw at us.

apart the D that must stay elite with everybody contributing somehow, somebody will have to step-up offensively, podz and moody are the suspects number one who have to step up, but even a guy like post could hit some 3s and most importantly stretch the floor. kuminga rising up to the challenge will def help. ofc buddy will have to prolong his good shooting strecth and jimmy turns into jimmybucket mode for the dubs to have a chance. even if the next games without steph are low score games around 95 points they must find scoring somewhere somehow.
they can do it, but ity will take the best out of almost everyone in the roster and a bit of helpf from the twolves too.

Hope I'm wrong but I think they're done. Miracle win without Steph in Game 1 (because the Wolves were miserable). I just don't get why they don't simply say he's out for Game 2 and will evaluate day by day? How do they know he won't be ready for Game 3? Obviously won't be ready if they don't even look at him for a week.

Again, hope I'm wrong. And if they manage to just win one of the next three, they still have a shot. Let's hope Buddy never wakes up from this two game dream.

Pre Jimmy Butler I would say we had no chance of taking a game but with Jimmy I think there's a chance. We should also bring in Spencer for the non Jimmy minutes.

The Wolves never looked comfortable with Kerr bringing in 12 players in game 1. Lots of energy and maybe matchups that they hadn't planned for. I definitely think they can win at least one more of the next three, if at least a one other shooter gets hot per game and if the team plays monster defense.
