Some questions for my board brothers and sisters:

1. With at team (like Cleveland and Detroit) that is young and in need of veteran leadership, what could the Warriors get in return for a trade involving Draymond Green (hard for me to even broach this subject; Green is my favorite player on this team)?

2. If the team then signs Kuminga and moves him to power forward and pairs him with Butler and Horford/Post (both stretch 5's), could Butler play on the block and run the split action off of him (similar to how the team plays it off of Green?

3. In this scenario, could Moody/Podz play the other starting guard or would the team need to get this player back in return for Green?

Lastly, the above scenario is only a pipe dream, as Green appears to be untouchable.

I don’t see the point of moving Green with this iteration of the team but if you are looking for a soft reboot, he’s probably our most valuable asset. The problem is that the teams that would value him are trying to win so it’s unlikely they would part with quality players so the deal would probably be centered around picks, so you’d probably need a 3rd team to make it worth it.

We drive to the second round draft pick who might become Draymond’s back up at power forward.

A couple of months ago, I premised something starting with Draymond for Jarrett Allen as something that would potentially help fill the other team’s void. Warriors needing a true center, and Cleveland needing a clear leader. With Mobley’s size (and offensive game, including his improved outside shot) next to Draymond, Cleveland could actually make things work better than many other teams.

I’d love to see a deal starting with those two, but think it’s a real low probability of anything happening.

This might be a hot take but, if I'm Cle, I do that deal in heartbeat. I'm much higher on Dray than most and he certainly doesn't fix their defensive backcourt issues but I think he'd take them up a level. A lot more questions about what Allen does here, though, and while I wouldn't hang up the phone, it's not a trade I think i'd make as the dubs.

There is no player in the league at 25M can replace Draymond's defense and playmaking for this team. Unless you are getting Giannis, you dont trade Draymond who is clearly our 3rd best player.

Amir Coffey might be my no1 target, after horford. If we trade JK for a guard, that only gets more important.
