Yeah. It seems like they need a few more guards.

Multiple outlets have reported that Horford, Melton and GP2 all have handshake deals with the Dubs. Lyles is a guess on my part. I think we could use his length though.

Nothing is stopping you from being an Oklahoma City Thunder fan. As an added bonus, you'd get to participate in their pre-game religious ceremony. :D

It's only so that he can teach Steph lacrosse.

OKC is a fun team but I’m a warriors fan first.

It’s ok to not like the direction of the team.

Then you have to realize that the team is getting older and more decrepit. Personally, I fully intend to support the Dubs well into the time when Steph is held upright by one of those walkers with the tennis balls on their feet but can still lob up threes from the corner.

Uh, I said boring “outside of Curry”. Old Curry is still box office.

According to AI, this is what it will look like. For some reason, AI thinks Steph will change his number to 10. :D

Predictions on the opening-day roster:

Curry / Podziemski / Hield / Melton / GP2
Butler / Green / Moody / Kuminga / Santos / Amir Coffey
Horford / Post / TJD

2-ways - both Richard and Toohey (or he may be asked to play another year in Australia. Not sure who the final 2-way would be, but I don’t particularly expect it to be any of the guys who’ve been in that over the last year or two (Spencer, Rowe, Key).

I wouldn’t be surprised if at the trade deadline, the Warriors and Bulls trade Kuminga for Giddey, maybe with some minor assets attached one way or the other.

We’ll see what happens!

Warriors Plus/Minus podcast today is asking who should start in the backcourt, Melton or Podz? I haven't listened to it yet and I assume that if you lure Melton back here on a minimum deal he's going to be in the starting lineup, but it got me thinking, a three-guard lineup with Podz/Curry/Melton, along with Jimmy and Draymond, sounds like a nice changeup lineup. You've got enough shooting and scoring, along with good passing, defense, high IQ, can push the pace.

Of course it looks like Draymond and Horford are going to start together at the 4/5, but there are only so many minutes you can keep them out there, and I would like to see this group of high-effort, high IQ guys out there together. It's like a poor man's Death Lineup

They said it’ll likely be podz because they don’t want to repeat jk situation. But that’s just their thinking and not insider info.

If its Podz and Melton I’d start Podz.

Better for his development and dubs future (even this year).
Better to ease in Melton off injury.
Better to have Podz already in that role if Melton gets injured again.
Better to have Podz defend POA while Jimmy/Dray/Horford are behind him and not Post/JK/Trayce/etc.

He already has proven that he plays well next to Steph so its not like its an unknown situation. And obviously it means Steph gets Melton alongside him if he plays any minutes with backups, which is a huge step up vs some of the guards we have used recently. It’s also why I think its important to get another point guard like Morris or at least a Seth/Melton backup combo guards so that Podz isn’t required to be backup PG.

I think it’s best for podz development to get those backup pg minutes though. He needs to explore being able to create more advantages for himself and others and with Jimmy and dray and horford he doesn’t really have to create everything for everyone. Plus the podz moody jb dray post minutes were great last year.
