Warriors 2025-26 — Season Predictions —

With the roster now set, it's time to take some wild guesses! This year I'm going to take health somewhat out of the equation with regards to major injuries to key players because it's just a big unknown, a key injury could swing the win total by 15+ games. Also trades, Kuminga probably will be traded but we don't know who is coming back or if anyone else is going out. What I will factor in is reduced game and minute count because of age and the likely need to preserve guys for the post-season. Also only including main rotation players (like top 8-10) for stats.

Overall record and %: 52-30 (.634)
West conference seed: #3
Result: Lose in West Finals

Offensive rank: #6
Defensive rank: #8
Overall rank: #7

High scorer: Steph 24.0
High rebounder: Podz 5.6 (lol)
High assists: Jimmy 6.1
High steals: Melton 1.4
High blocks: Draymond 1.6
High 3P%: Steph 42.5%
High games played: Moody 77
High minutes per game played: Steph 31.7

Probably more optimistic than I should be but what the hell, it's October.

Draymond has his best 3pt shooting season since the 2016 team. He should have fresher legs not having to play the 5 as much this season.

I think Kuminga ends up staying past the trade deadline. I just think the FO can't get their story straight on him.

Moody gets some All-Defense discussion.

Unless he is traded this season, I am going with Hield. Hield has been an iron man, missing only 5 out of a possible 719 regular season games in his career.

Last season for the Warriors he played in all 82 games plus all 12 playoff games.

In 2023-24, when he was traded near the trade deadline, he actually played in 84 regular season games because of the schedules for the two teams he played for.

I could see that. And Kerr still probably prefers playing Hield to Moody. But I feel like Moody is primed to step up while Hield is going to be 33 in a few months...maybe an ironman but age probably catches up to him at some point.

As said, it all comes down to injuries. Based on one preseason game, I think that they'll avoid the play-in for sure. Looks like Horford will make a big difference. If they're all healthy, I think WCF and out. But I doubt that they'll all be healthy. Thus, Round 2 and out is my guess, but you never know.

If healthy we have a chance to win a title.

Feels like '22 to me. Could have a great run. Pieces are there but Ws clearly not among the favorites to win it all.

54-28.
4th place in the West.
Off Rank: #6
Defense Rank: #8
Curry leading scorer at 25.2 PPG.
Draymond and/or Jimmy sit more than expected *no jinx*
Kuminga is traded.
Moody has a good season.
Eliminated in the Semi's by the Rockets (7 games).

52-30. Comfortably in 2nd in the west (behind OKC).

1st round - beat Por in 5
2nd round - beat Den in 6
3rd round - beat OKC in 6
Finals - beat NYK in 5

Think if we want to be a top 6 team comfortably we'll need about 52+ wins so I'll go with that tranche.

Top 6 in the west

OKC
DEN
GSW
HOU
LAC
MIN

Warriors will chip this season, but they need to move JK (obviously) and need to acquire another big, as well as a starting 2.

Trade chips:
JK
Moody
Gui
Buddy
Podz - maybe..

I remember aaron turner talking about it during his press tour but man, we have soooo many b2b's in the first two months of the year.

4 out of our first 5 games are B2Bs, including the rare 4 games in 6 nights stretch we have coming up this Thu (Dev, Por, Mem, LAC). We have one every week until the last week of Nov.

As optimistic as I am after last night, how we get through the next 4 games really matters. There's probably no chance we get off to a start like we did in '21-'22 but we need to win a lot of games early in the season with the big 4 healthy. The schedule will make that hard but if we get there, the 2nd half of the season should be much, much easier.

The 6 game roadtrip in mid Nov that starts with a b2b (okc to sas) and ends on one (orl to miami) will also be very telling. 6 games in 9 days is a tough ask from this team, especially on the road.

I think 53 wins and the 2nd or 3rd seed is within reason. We'll see how the rest of the conference is but right now I have us tier 2 behind OKC right alongside Denver slightly ahead of HOU and MIN.

At least after the first B2B, they get 2 days off, and the second B2B are home games, so that's not the worst. If they go 3-2 through the first 5, I'm OK with it. I'm worried about that next game after LAC in Milwaukee though.

Sure, but by that same token, tomorrow's home game is almost like a roadtrip as they travelled up from LA and are going up to Por on Fri. Just tough, considering our age.
