Is It too Much to Ask to Have Post & Draymond Play Together?

Post#1 » by Romulus » Tue Dec 9, 2025 1:36 am

Have we seen enough? I guess the real question is: has Steve Kerr seen enough? This small ball with Draymond at the 5 is crap. Post has earned being a starter on this team. Draymond at the 4 and Post at the 5 is a lineup that offers better defense and doesn't make the Warriors starting lineup tiny.

And if Post is starting he needs to play more than 3 or 4 minutes before getting subbed out.

Come on. Let's play our best lineup. Let's try and win games. Enough of Draymond at the 5. Enough of small ball. It's time to go another way.

Please complie a list of centers that we've benched for Green, that may answer your question brother. Not saying im against it, but Kerr is coach...

Right now Dray plays about an exact 50/50 split of time between the 4 and 5, which is a pretty decent ratio imo, considering we have so many guards able to play SF and Jimmy/Moody/JK can all slide to the 4 if needed. Dray at the 5 has always been one of our secret weapons, and its still really effective. That being said, I agree with OP that Post has been great next to him which should allow us to play more of Dray at the 4.

261 minutes at the 5 with a +7 net

208 minutes with Post +14 net
60 minutes with Horford -5 net
2 minutes with Trayce +17

Should be mentioned as well that those Dray/Post minutes get even better when Steph and/or Kuminga are included. Its been a dominant lineup.
