It's a combo of things with Matt this year.
Both of his hands have been hammered on.
His mothers passing would of course give him some good days and bad days to deal with.
And he missed his first few shots against the Spurs and had a rebounded ball that he started to take up the floor bounce off of Beans' foot.
He had multiple turnovers the game prior to that.
But he has had some stellar games recently with good rebounding, assists, and timely 3's.
I applaud Nellie for not bringing him back the other night. Petey outplayed him and deserved the minutes.

it doesnt matter what anyone else offered, the Warriors offered it to him.
3.5 is low in my eyes for what he does. hes a competitor, a playmaker, and a free lance offensive machine. he doesnt back down and causes mismatches. i wish he had a 2 or 3 year contract instead of a 1 year contract. matt barnes is pretty damn good.
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010

Barnes is an up and down player and I think what we have seen of him so far this season is what you are going to get from him. I think that is why he didn't draw the interest from other teams this off season. I think he makes more mental mistakes that don't show up as turn-overs on the stat sheets too.
Here are last season's monthly totals for him:
Games Minutes FG% 3% RB Points
