The Real Reason Behind "Flu Like Symptoms"

Don't it make you wonder when a player sits out a game because of "Flu like symptoms", "The flu" or a "virus"? Don't it sound like they are just hung over from a long night (and early AM) of partying? I get sick leave at my job & I'm not necessarily sick when I use it. Let's see, flu like symptoms can be one or all of the following: nasuea, headache, the runs, vomitting, the chills.....AKA a hangover. These over-priced, spoiled atheltes aren't fooling anybody. They make millions + a year, they should be able to suit up and play. Furthermore, if they play sick & score 30 40 + it shouldn't add to their legend a la Jordan vs. Jazz in the NBA finals or even Kobe last night. They shouldn't be praised for a task that they are highly paid to do! Ain't that the truth, Ruth!

Go on the road for 82 games in a season, go through all those airports, eat all those meals out, play a contact sport daily with other people doing the same thing, and then get back to me about how many times you catch a bug.

In fact, I'm going to take the rare step of locking this thread for stupidity.
