Having a down year. I think he just needs a point guard like Baron who can get him the ball. How do people here feel about him? I know he's a RFA.

I like him, but not for the price he'll command...
Besides, he can't even hit a 3... pass...

I wouldnt be surprised to see Mulson go after that 7'0 foot Toronto Italian stiff Bargnani.

Hope the 'hit a 3' is a joke. Otherwise, Dubbs are really a joke if we start asking for guys like Shaq, Juwan Howard, and Brand to start hitting 3s before they have any value.

With any other head coach, it would be a joke, with Nellie, its dead serious. Does that make Nellie a joke of a coach?

I would say so... if Yao Ming, Howard, and the likes stands on the 3 point line.
The last time I checked, Biedrins was not allow to doing anything but to shoot with 5 ft of the basket. We can blame our chuckers for not involving him.

You think those chuckers are being told by Nellie to get Biedrins involved? Run a play in the post? Nah... Nellie is just completely baffled on how to use people who can't shoot 3s or create their own shot face up... I get the impression he believes the NBA is 5 little 1 on 1 games...

Pass on a guy who passed on a near-max contract because he thought he's as good as Dwight Howard. (Hell, I don't even know he's better than Beans!)

Bobcat fan hear again , We offered him 65 milion befor the season started . The way hes played this year so far he will be lucky to get 40 milion offered. His best year production wize was his rookie year and each year after its has gone down.
Nazr has posted better numbers in limited mins than he has as a starter . The last four games Nazr has been in the game at the end and he has been riding the pine??????????

Bobcats offered Emeka $65 million and he turned it down?? I don't know who's the bigger genius, MJ for offering or Emeka for turning it down. Isn't max only 5/75??

Emeka just doesn't look like a guy who would be in it for more money. But apparently he is.
He would definitely help us with interior defensive blocking and rebounding. But he probably has less range on offense than Beans.

I've been watching Okafor this year while following Jason's tour with the Cats. He really looks a lot like Adonal Foyle a few years back. I'd rather roll the dice with another draftee.
(Insert LF commentary on Nelson-POB futility here.)

If we have a chance to get Emeka get him!
We don't really have a body like him yet and he's only going to get better. He may not be an offensive player, but he's got some good moves, he can score with either hand and catch the ball extremely well. That's a player we could use.
It also might be interesting to play Okafor at center with Biedrins with the size mismatch at power forward.

That's the part I'm worried about. Have you watched him this year? He deems to be in an early decline.

Love can hit the 3 ball and he's the greatest outlet passer since the days of Wes Unseld and Bill Walton.

I haven't seen any 08 draft prospects this year, but if you like him, sign me up.

There's no question in my mind..I want Biedrins ..Ive always like AB15> Okafoyle......+ Okafoyle is dropping off fast
You can't play the two of them together...

I got lambasted on the Cats board for suggesting that Biedrins was as good as Okafor during this preseason.
I don't have the heart to revisit the issue now that they are down on Okafor.

I don't know about decline because that suggests he'll be bad next season, which I don't think he will be. It's probably an off year due to a variety of factors both mental/physical. He is an injury prone player so that's another risk to consider, but maybe the losing culture, the coaching style, team chemistry, lack of guard play getting him touches is really getting to him.
The former rookie of the year still averages a double double. The question is what can motivate him to return to proper form and add new things to his game?
Plus, why can't Biedrins and Okafor play together? We could always use the extra screens, weakside help, rebounding, intelligence, and good hands around the basket.
Any remote comparison of Okafor to Foyle is just wrong. Foyle just sucks. Okafor has skill and I don't know why not lately. But it could be a good risk to take if his body holds up... and we have plenty of guards to get him and Biedrins involved. Alley oops could be a weapon.
