Looking ahead to Friday

Post#1 » by Twinkie defense » Thu Jan 17, 2008 7:18 am

Warriors play Bulls on a nationally televised game Friday... I think this will be a bounce-back game for the Dubs, given the national audience and the disappointing loss in Indy.

Bulls blew out the Heat tonight! Maybe a reaction to their foolishness of late (see below), but now they've gotten the make-good victory out of the way.

"Noah Still Stunned" at his benching by his teammates:

Would the Bulls ever have voted to suspend a veteran player had a similar incident happened?

How can Ben Wallace condemn Noah when he once refused Flip Saunders order to re-enter game when with the Pistons and just last season he blatantly defied Scott Skiles' orders not to wear a headband? And how can a Bulls team that has tanked much of this season and basically quit on the hard-driving Scott Skiles pass judgment now on Noah?

At halftime of the Bulls' lifeless 102-88 loss to the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night, Noah and Ben Wallace had to be separated in the locker room

"Have Chicago's Vets Quit?"

Two consecutive road blowouts in Atlanta and Orlando suggest that this could be a possibility. With tension mounting in the locker room between older players underperforming and younger players used to winning voicing their frustrations about the mounting losses, the magma of catastrophe may only just now be creaking through the crevices.

I guess Skiles is not to blame anymore?

We always wake up for national TV.

But if we don't come back with a vengeance from tonight's game, something is seriously wrong (what else is new?).

Yup, Baron and Jack will combine for 25 3 point attempts. It's national TV baby!

I'm so glad I didn't watch the game last night. I probably would've kicked my cat through the TV. And then become overidden with guilt that I ruined my nice tv that I'd cry myself to sleep...only to wake up the next morning (thinking it was a dream) and relive the tragedy. After a fit of crying and rage I would have probably hit the bottle pretty hard...then realize I had to go to work. But on the way to work get pulled over for a DUI and then my work finds out, fires me, more drinking, wife leaves with the kids, and by the end of 2008 I'm a homeless drunk wondering where it all went wrong. Then, of course, when the show intervention comes to save me, I trace back the whole downward spiral to that loss against the Pacers.

(1 year later) The show catalogs my progress. After 1 relapse with a college buddy in Acapolco, I've been sober for 6 months in a sober living home. I work for my uncles landscaping business as a laborer and feel really good about the future.

Man we would have so many characters on our team. Maybe that might be a good thing?

I saw one of Noah's good games this year. I'd definitely invite him aboard. Not sure Nellie would play him, but at least Nellie (and Baron and Jax) could handle his temperament.
