Eddy Curry with a great quote:

"Every time I looked up, he was getting a rebound," Curry said. "When I saw he had 26, I was like, 'He got cheated.' They must didn't count some tip or something. He had at least 30. It was pretty amazing."

I dunno... I can see not being excited that he got "a lot", but he got 26. More than any player in the NBA in any game this year. No matter who we were playing, that is a hell of a lot of rebounds. Almost Seikaly'esque ;-)

I think it's worth noting that Cheesburger Eddie is exactly the kind of player that disgustipates Nellie's basketball sensibilities, and exactly the kind of player Nellie is temped to run small ball at every minute he can. Yet, Beans was having a kick-ass game (even without his 3ball working) and Nellie left him in for long minutes to dominate.

I think a lot of the limited action for Beans has been because his leg has been far below 100% for some time. His trouble catching the ball, and the weaknesses in his defensive game have all been related to mobility issues. It's not like he was crippled, but I saw him being clearly a step slow for quite a while now.

But last night Beans looked a lot healthier (running circles around Jabba) and Nellie gave him run.

That was good.

Maybe what was wven more impressive (by virtue of AB15s 41) was that only left 7 minutes available for midget Centers. Let's hope that Beans can force the "Big One" to play him that many minutes from now on and we won't have to see too much of Barntrus at the Power position or even Al at the 5. Maybe if we acquire Webber we can have a real 4 and 5 in there for more than a few minutes.
