Did I miss hearing Nellie say he was going to play Pietrus at the 3? Did not catch that.
Of course Pietrus isn't going to lose his minutes now. Isn't it better to have him at the 3 than at the 4 during his (probably less) minutes out there?

No....Where you been? The only time MP's been successful playing for Nellie was when he's at the 4.

MP's *good* season (i.e. last year), was when he played a majority of the time at the 3. MP is terrible as a 4, as witnessed last night.
The best position for him to be in is if he's playing the 3, surrounded by ball handlers, doesn't have to dribble, doesn't have to distribute, doesn't have to make a basketball move, doesn't have to play in a zone D when there's a pure shooter on the floor cause he tends to lose those guys somehow, doesn't stand near the out of bounds, and doesn't try to dunk; he'll be just fine. A real game-changer he is.

No no...You're confused Monday...Pietrus was only effective at the 4 during the season and the playoffs..He was terrible at the 3...

Does that distinction really mean anything to Don Nelson?

Heh, Nellie insinuated that Pietrus is sucking at the 4 this year because he doesn't want to play there. Then why play him there YDB.
I like how he went into detail of how Webber and Andris would be playing together. He runs a 4 man break, so currently Andris has been the 5th "protector" guy. When they play together, Andris is going to be one of the runners. This could actually be good for him to get more scoring opportunities.

Nellie will end up playing smallball with Webber or Harrington as the only big on the floor...book it!!
Biedrins is averaging around 28 mpg right now...
I'll bet you he averages under 24 with Chris here

Maybe they'll be a more productive 24 than his 28.

I don't know; maybe so. Just was looking through 82games.com for last year's stats, and they had him with about 70% of his time at the 3 and showed it to be his most effective position. Then again, they're definitions of position are extremely subjective and are more often than not based on height (i.e. the second tallest player is the 4 and so on).
I remember his coming up big at the 4 against Dallas, but against every other 4 who's name doesn't rhyme with Schmirk Mowitzki, I don't seem to remember MP coming out on top.
Incidently, I was looking at the lineup combinations and win percentage from last year's squad, and the lineup with the 4th most minutes on the year had an insane win percentage of 90%.
That lineup: Boom, Tay, Jack, Al, & Beans. Hmm.....

Nellie's got in his head that's he's going to go bigger now that Webber's here...He thinking he can afford now toput Brandan and the young C's next to Web..He's planning on playing Barntrus more at the 3...Jack at the 2 sometimes...It's all going down the crapper the 1st time there is an opposition run...Back to smallball...Anybody doubt it?

He (Beans) had a very productive 22 last night.
The 3 man big rotation will be good for all.

With Webber here he should be able to play 35 a game...Andris can let Chris gaurd all the bigs now..He doesnt have to go at it alone on the boards...24 minutes a game for 1 of our top4 players would be insane.

There'll be plenty of nights where Webs sucking wind and donkey balls.
Just like Al's on again off again year.
There's no doubt we'll see plenty of small ball.
