Baron Davis SNUBBED

Post#1 » by crzy » Fri Feb 1, 2008 12:20 am

Brandon Roy and David West

The rest of the league will pay. We might even win 50 games now.

I don't get this Baron All-Star tunnelvision. Yeah, he deserved to make it. But Stephen Jackson was on as many, if not more, lists written by journalists and analysts within the past weeks - yet none of y'all mention the dude.

But at least they both their highlights shown by TNT as the two main snubs...

Roy was playing well this season...but Baron was playing great.

ROY DOESNT DESERVE TO MAKE IT OVER BARON
Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.
Big Smooth is focused and ready to handle the centers of the league.
Curry and Ellis will be a top 5 back court this season. 6/25/2010

I heard the announcement on TNT... Barkley keeps saying that only winning teams should be rewarded with All-Star selections.

Well, how come we're the only team in the top eight in the West to have no one selected? What a joke.

i am 100% confident Portland is not even going to make the playoffs...and that the Hornets arent going to be the #1 seed

Baron Davis is going to destroy this league in the 2nd half.

That's BS. Baron has better numbers than Roy across the board, Warriors have a better record than Portland, and Baron is arguably more important to the Warriors success than Roy is to Portland. This is a result of Portland being the "feel good" story this season, and people still holding a grudge against Baron.

The good news is Baron will make people pay for this - especially Portland?

Baron gets technicals and has a bad attitude. There'd be more outlash if Roy didn't make it cuz he's a good guy.

But Blazers wouldn't be where they are at if they didn't have that cookie 17 game schedule. If they had a regular schedule they'd be 5 games below where they are at now.

Biggest snub in the league, he's been a Top 3 PG in the NBA, a Top 10 player in the NBA this season, and one of the best leaders in the game. Absolutely pathetic, he definitely deserved it over Roy and West IMO.

And Roy is only a second year player! Carmelo was snubbed till his 3rd season. And David West leading a team to a winning record?? Yeah right, they'd be bottom of the western conference without Paul. What has David West ever done on his own?

I agree that Roy or West over Davis is terrible. I had him down as a lock.

I think its a good thing. Sure it would've been sweet to see Baron at the all-star game but it really doesn't mean much. It means a LOT more to be snubbed. Its like Obi wan Kenobi..."If you strike me down, I will become more powerful than you could ever dream." :starwars:
Strike Baron down, and he will play with some serious chips on his shoulders.

Its going to be an interesting 2nd half to say the least.

The coaches make theses selections, correct? I think this is more an indicment of Baron's character by opposing coaches, because he clearly deserved it this year. This just adds to the whole Warriors as underdogs theme. I second everyone else who thinks Baron is going to be playing with a chip on his shoulder.

It's total BS that we don't have an all star this year. Not that our guys couldn't use the extra rest.

I can't believe that our last all-star is STILL Sprewell. After all those years we couldn't get people in because we weren't winning (ahem J-Rich, ahem), I thought this year would be the year. Apparently winning is overrated in this discussion.

they done made baron mad. i see this a more a snub on the warriors and not just baron. we go off last year and we're a"fluke." NO and portland go off this year and they're the real deal.

there'll be hell to pay. davis, jack, dre, tay, (hopefully) al and the rest of them they're gonna light it up. especially when they play portland and new orleans again.

mos def.
