:censored:

His going rate? Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, 1sts in 2008/2010.

Unbelievable that we couldn't get in on this type of deal... Lakers get another impact post player for when Bynum returns :banghead:

I'm surprised if that is enough salary going back to make for a legal trade, but gawd I would have thought Memphis could get more than that.

I knew when the Grizz signed that incompetent former Celts GM to run the show that they were in trouble... a legitimate big man for that crap...

Lakers get a helluva deal and are vaulted into contender status, and Cupcake forever loses his nickname...

LEAGUE AGENDA..They want a celtics-Lakers rivalry back...That trade was rigged....

Blazers and Lakers are going to dominate the west

The only positive in this is that it signals MEM is ditching salary.... we've got a shot at Mike Miller for the TPE.

Stromile Swift is rumored to be dealt to NJ later today for Jason Collins... that'll appease Kidd

I really dislike the idea of bringing a gunner in here....That's why Ive changed my tune on Webber..He's going be great for this team because of the nature of his game..I don't want to see the warriors bring in a Miller type.

Just checked, it's like 600K short. Hopefully the Lakers had to include Turiaf in the deal.

I wonder if Jerry West would've done that trade. Well lock the Lakers down as an official contender. :banghead:

It probably includes Sasha. He's an expiring as well.

My guess would be Vujacic as the filler...

Lakers have caught so much crap in the past year... Warriors have caught so much praise... How ass backwards.

Bynum's developed into a player, Odom is solid, Gasol is great, Kobe is :o ... Farmar's their future PG, they are firing on all cylinders... having Turiaf/Walton/Fish/Mihm/Ariza/VladRad on the bench is great...

Kupchack has made them contenders, starting down the mouth of a shotgun... big time props to him

Trumps our move x 10...

And I'd take Miller as a 30mpg player, keeping our current backup wings off the court..

I'm just so happy we didnt trade for Gasol cause I know the package would of included Brandan Wright.

Ya know, with this move the Grizz should have quite a bit of cap room next offseason. Don't think they'd go after Monta with Lowry and Conley already there, but I could see them making a play for Biedrins. :-?

WTF is memphis is doing?

Kwame Brown sucks, he's just an expiring contract. Your getting two first rounds picks, but there likely late first round picks. You already have three young PG's in Conley Jr, Navarro and Lowry. How does Javaris Crittenton find minutes in that crowded situation?

Kobe, Bynum, Odom and Gasol in the future, my god!

:nonono: i hope we don't stop with webber. there's gotta be some deal/value with MP. this is ridiculous now.

Any team in the East could've gotten them lower picks and an expiring. That's just crazy. And he got traded with the West. David Stern does it again!!

Buss wont pay the luxery tax..Odom has to be on the move at some point in the near future

Crittenton would be a perfect fit with short SG Juan Carlos Navarro, whos a shooter in the Ellis mold..

My guess is that MEM pulled the trigger on this deal because of the lack of useless EC's...

Teams like MIA (JWill, Ricky Davis), WSH (Jamison), MIN (Ratliff), SEA (Kurt) all either are out of the playoffs or those players are important to them... MEM hand-picked the Lakers, because of Kwame, and got a deal done there.

Only other team, besides us, that had the resources to make a deal was SAS... but all of their rookies are overseas and giving them Pau would ensure they are a great team in 08/10...

Lakers are hardly ensured of that, but man... its scary.

I think that Chris Wallace got the impression people forgot how bad of a GM he was the first time around. He had to rebuild his reputation.
