PLAYOFFS?!?!

Post#1 » by KR4 » Mon Feb 11, 2008 5:35 am

With the Lakers getting Pao, Houston playing great, Utah playing better, and Denver looking stronger than they have all season, the W's chances are looking slimmer as the season goes on.

If we get in, we could win any series depending on our 3pt fg %...but at this point, we have to play strong to get in. This brings it to three questions:

1) Do we make it this year?
2) If we make it, can we win any series and make any kind of run at a championship?
3) Does it even matter? - Mullson will never be relevant and we'll never win a championship with them at the helm.

I'd like to see us get elimanted early from the playoff race so Brandan and Marco can get a little action before Vegas SL..I still have big dreams for this team, even with the fact that POB is lost forever.

I know you do, I see through all the sarcasm and s**t...and I really do agree with you on a lot of it. If this was a perfect team, the focus would be on developing the young talent AND winning. Not holding the young talent back so we can hopefully win.

Still a long road to hoe. I want to see Tay get another shot to redeem himself for last year.

Houston will take our spot soon.

Denver and us will fight it out for the 8 seed. Toss up.

I think we make it barring any injuries. Portland will drop out of the race, Sac is too far out. I hope Phoenix drops out. I just don't see Shaq making any kind of positive impact on that team. And once they lose a couple games in a row, all chemistry that Shaq brings will be gone. Amare is too much of a prima donna to listen to Shaq.

Honestly, I think I'm the only one who doesn't care too much if we get into the playoffs or not. I see the personnel matter as more important.

If we get in, I think we can do some damage (I believe GSW will get in).

If not, I hope they tank like no other. Youngins will get to play, Beasley will wear a W's uni (if not Elton Brand.. hint hint).

I want the damm Lux Tax... bring it bitch Cohan, Pay up

We're 10 games above .500, it's too late to tank for Beastly.

The Ws will make the Playoffs....they're just to good not to make it.

The only problem is that the West is so tough now that it's hard to tell if they can make it past the 1st round.

It's not because they aren't a good team....it's just because the West is so strong.

I disagree. I think the Warriors are a very good team, but the west is just ridiculous this year. I see the W's barely missing out, which sucks because I think they could give anyone a series. I think the warriors should build to contend in a couple of years when SA, Phoenix, and Dallas get too old.

I see Denver falling out. They've been playing excellent b-ball so far but there are just too many explosive egos on that team to keep up this consistency.

BTW, only five games separate us from the top record in the West and only 3 games separate us from being the #5 seed. We're still in this one in a major way, with room to do damage.

Portland's feel good story of a season seems to be ending... but Houston's catching fire and so is Denver. It's gonna be tough but I see us grabbing the 7th or 8th spot, hopefully facing Phoenix in the first round

TPE, Wright, Pietrus and POB for Elton Brand

That's the future.

(Crack) pipe dream... can't combine TPE with anything, and Clippers would laugh at that offer for Brand... he's better than Gasol and they aren't stupid..

Brand is my favourite NBA player. I want him in my favourite team.

Harrington, Pietrus, POB for Brand?

Until he returns from injury, Wright should get some minutes.

Muchas gracias, companero! Esta muy simpatico ;)

You had much of a chance to watch Rudy Fernandez or Tiago Splitter this year? Will they be playing in the NBA soon?

What do you think of Ricky "Blondie"?
