Awww f

!
How many more times do we play them?
Well . . . one things for sure. Everybody's going to know exactly what Baron is worth or not worth by the end of this year's playoffs. He's gonna get tested hard down the stretch in the west.
Oh, and will the last talent to leave the east rememeber to turn the lights off please?

Done deal. Happy for Kidd, unhappy for the Ws.

Man, that's a hell of a lot of crap that the Mavs are giving up for Kidd...This has the potential to backfire worse than the Suns trade can...Harris, Stackhouse, Diop, Ager, two first-rounders and cash for Kidd and Malik Allen?!? Whoa....

Haha...all the talk about Devin Harris being some great up and comer. That must have sealed the deal for Jersey.

I actuallty think that this move gives us an advantage if we meet in the playoffs again but for other teams its a nightmare
Harris always played great against us not to mention stack going off for 3's
Only if terry was also involved.
Kidd cant hurt us with his scoring nor with his defence only passing

Can we get Brickhouse for the TE and dump Pietrus already?

This is just the domino effect of what Memphis and the Lakers started. Whos' next? I hope it's not us. Never liked the concept of trying "to keep up with the Jones". I'll stay with our kids and see how we stackup with all these teams who are mortgaging their future in the next several years. A number of them are just an injury away from lottery land.

my thoughts exactly. i fear no mavs. the warriors biggest enemies are the lakers, the jazz and themselves.

hmm . . . stack? Let's see
Veteran - check
Not a forward - check
Gunner - check
Expiring deal - check
We probably have to throw in something extra like Obee or Kosta, but I like it. Stack can be a smart player, and is always a mean ass son of a bitch.
Get er done.

Wasn't there a blurb about Nellie cruising out to Dallas to visit Donny when the Kidd to Dallas talk first came out?
Maybe this is what he's been hanging onto Pete for?

Wasn't aware of the but would be a great move for us if it could be pulled off. This would mean that we would hae to somehow send Petey to NJ. Might have to use part of the TPE to get it done. Also am not sure who else we would have to take back from NJ to make this deal work. You think NJ would be willing to do a Stackhouse for Pietrus and POB deal perhaps? Maybe this would work on trade checker.

Pietrus, POB and Second Round Pick
4
Mike Miller
works on the trade checker
any chance on that happening

i like how you all are thinking right now. i hope there's truth to that. i'm more than sick of MP.

Heh, I just came here to say the same thing about trying to get Stack but y'all beat me to it.

Definitely needs to happen. Send out MP, Kosta, a 2nd, whatever. Get it done Mulson.
P.S. The Mavs got hosed in the deal, and they're thinner than the Celtics right now. Way not to over-react Cuban.

Per ESPN, the Nets are going to buy out Stackhouse immediately, and he will be eligible to rejoin Dallas in 30 days, which means the trade comes down to:
Harris
Diop
Ager
08/10 firsts
undisclosed second
for
Kidd
Wright (the 2nd for Wright is a separate deal)
whoever the throw-in in the Kidd deal is.
Personally, I think the NBA has to change rules about trades and buyouts. I have no issue with a team getting a player and buying him out right away, but such a player should not be eligible to return to the team that traded him until the free agency period. Otherwise, you could have a deal like this;
Dwight Howard
Jameer Nelson
for
Duncan
Parker
and 1st round picks in 2008. 2010, and 2012
and Orlando just buys out Duncan and Parker who re-sign with the Spurs.
Obviously, that would never happen, but the buy-out and re-sign trick seems to be a way to get around salary matching (and talent matching) considerations for trades.

Damn this sucks. Devin Harris is vastly overrated.
Especially if Dallas signs Stack back

I think if you're bought out, then you shouldn't be able to return to the league till the next year. Honor your contract and teams should be getting players to play, not use them as a cash asset.
