I'm starting to actually have hope this is ODB's last season coaching...

If he was planning on coming back next year, he'd be playing BW and Belinelli > our scrub infested bench..

He will probably still have to wear retainers so his teeth will stay in shape.

Oh... scratch that then. We can't have a dude out there with a retainer. That's worse than braces!

It was really nice of the folks at YouTube to put all of his made shots on one video clip. They're usually so hard to find.

You must have missed the SL Game that he made 14-20 fgs and 5-7 3 ptrs. Anyone that doubts whether the kid CAN shoot is way off base. But they do have the right to say that he hasn't shot well in his limited time in the NBA so far.

I doubt he can shoot at a good NBA percentage ever, based upon years of data saying so. I also doubt that matters to Don Nelson and his acolytes. And I doubt any of this can detract from some of the other skills he clearly possesses such as court vision and ball-handling. But I doubt those two relatively unproven raw abilities will override his crappy defense and black hole chucker mentality often enough to make him a good NBA player.

EDIT: under any coach other than Don Nelson, who has had no luck with him to this point and is more bat s :censored: t crazy in his personnel manipulations by the day.

Nick,
When you say "he can shoot" what do you mean? Do you mean he can shoot well enough at his position to have a future in the NBA? Yes, I agree.

But if you mean he can shoot WELL consistently at his position and will be a quality shooter over the course of his carreer? Nothing points to that except one scortching hot game in SL. Other than that one game, all the italian fans (with all their racist Italian homerishness  ) have said so in their own words: an exciting, but streaky gunner with bad shot selection and a poor fundamental stroke. They have not described a "quality shooter." What have you seen that they haven't?

You said "First he'll have to learn how to shoot."

I said, "He knows how to shoot"...and showed video of him shooting the **** out of the ball.

I'm not in the mood to get into a long winded argument about his future based on speculation. I just wanted to point out that your statement was incorrect.

When I say learn how to shoot, I mean "learn how to shoot well at the NBA level."

I've seen Pietrus have a scortching hot game as well. I would not describe Pete as "knowing how to shoot" because he can not do it with any consistency.

Over here:----------------------------------------------Over there:
streaky-------------------------------------------------- knows how to shoot

Clear enough?
