Super... we can now spread Pietrus' uselessness among 2 players now.

Joey Graham might actually be more useless than Pietrus... hes the only wing that has a higher F/48 rate...

Graham normally remembers to stay in bounce, Pietrus on the other hand. GS will enjoy about a 3 IQ point bump in Graham.

Puke. I'd rather have Pietrus than either of those 2 guys. One is bad enough Roster spot?

Joey Graham is actually sort of a PF/SF hybrid. He didn't get much time at PF in Toronto, obviously, with Bosh and Bargnani there.

I could see Joey playing the 4 quite a bit in Golden State.

Not trying to di you here man, but Pietrus has played a lot of 4 for us too (probably has played more 4 than anything this year) and is a way better shooter. Now he's getting less time in general since we signed Webber. I wouldn't expect Graham to get much time here either if he were dealt for. The only way I see us doing this deal is if we want to get rid of Pietrus so bad that we're willing to do it just to get rid of him. I doubt that because we would have done that long ago (for nothing) if that were the case. He still has value to us, particularly if someone were to go down.

I always hear GSW fans complaining about rebounding. Joey is actually a good rebounder, much better than Pietrus.

Per 82games.com
Joey's Rebound Player Rating: 22.3
Pietrus' Rebound Player Rating: 16.5

I would actually say that Joey's natural position is a 4, and he's just undersized for the position, and we have Chris Bosh.

At this point Graham > Webber as a PF for the run and gun style. Thats not saying much but still...

I would say that Joey Graham sucks, and that is why he doesn't play...

Regardless of whether you've got an IQ of 54 or 57, you're still legally (Please Use More Appropriate Word). :football:

Hey Warrior fans.

You might get a kick out of this, but there is actually a player dumber than Pietrus. His name is Joey Graham.

It's actually more funny the second time after watching the player reactions. Mainly Rasho and AP.

Yeah, and Wright owns both their asses. Screw this trade. Let the "future" walk at the end of the season.

Joey Graham may have a super-low bball IQ, but he can rebound, and his shot is decent. Maybe he isn't as good a shooter as Pietrus, but he can bang, get rebounds, dunk and run, and I could actually see him playing well in Golden State's up-tempo offense.

I mean, neither Graham nor Pietrus are the belle of the ball, but you would be subtracting from a strength (shooting) and helping out a weakness (rebounding). His contract is also small, and Dixon is expiring.

The reason Toronto is considering this is because we need the extra capspace for Calderon this offseason. Furthermore, if you're playing Pietrus at the 4, wouldn't it make more sense to play a guy there who is more suited to the position?

As a Raptors fan, I'd love this trade.

As a Golden State fan, I'd enjoy that Dixon's expiring and that Graham isn't too expensive. Because that's all they are worth.

Graham sucks. He's a decent spot-up shooter and can some nights be a good rebounder and aggressive slasher but he's the paragon of inconsistency and has weak handles. He's a 3 by size but played PF through college, so he's mostly useless on the perimeter unless you spoon-feed him stand-still jumpers and a steady diet of backdoor alley-oops and transition buckets. He might succeed in Golden State because he's extremely athletic (the top athlete from his draft class, IIRC) and he's a nice guy, but he's largely useless. Fortunately, his contract only has one more guaranteed year on it and then it's a QO, he's an RFA as opposed to holding a player's option, so you can just tell him to sod off if he's no good.

Dixon... is an aggressive chucker who gets hot sometimes. I hated him in Washington, I hated him in Portland and I'm thrilled to bits that he gets no PT in Toronto and even moreso that he might get traded.

As a Raps fan, I hope the trade goes down but you've got to be looking at it like this as a Golden State fan:

Pietrus is going to walk; there's the off-chance that these two players can contribute and if they don't, Dixon's gone after a year and Graham's a $2.5M expiring contract at next year's deadline if he doesn't pan out and his contract is actually smaller than Pietrus' present deal, so you actually save a little money.

It could be worse.

As far as Joey at the 4... I'd like to see him get some more post-ups, since that's what he was good for in college but the height and athleticism of the NBA 4 spot makes it difficult. If you use him ala Corliss Williamson, as a post-up 3 who also runs like Hell in transition, then that could help.

I dunno, it's not a great deal for Golden State but you guys are backed into a bit of a corner, IIRC, given Pietrus' contract situation and his interest in leaving.

We are not going to trade Pietrus to take on ANY salary for next year, period. $2.5 mil for Graham is $2.5 mil too much. We would rather let Pietrus sulk on the bench and walk than take on that contract. Most of our team are free agents at the end of the year, including big pay raises for Monta and Biedrins, so there is no way we can take on the contract of someone who is not as good as Pietrus. Please, Toronto fans, go try and find someone else to pawn Graham on.
