Our 3 POINT Streak is Over.

Post#1 » by CupcakeNoFillin » Thu Feb 21, 2008 6:11 pm

This isn't really important, i'm not making a big deal about it. Just pointing this out.

The Warriors had over 100 consecutive games of making 5 or more three pointers. That streak ended last night when the Celtics held the Warriors to only making 4 three's. We gotta start over now!

Not a lot of chucking last night

Hopefully, Jack follows suit when he returns.

Wait, so you're telling me that when we don't settle for 3s (only take 14), play a conventional "big" lineup, and play Biendris for extended minutes, that we not only beat the best team in the NBA, but we can also outrebound them? Hmm, weird.

Guess I'll have to wait until 2010 to see that again. :banghead:

Tay handled the ball a lot more often this game. But I think its a co-initiator think w/Baron and Jax... I dont think Baron would have been OK w/chucking 3s if he was the only one to do it  ... we saw a glimpse of what the future could be last night. Working hard for easier buckets, making extra passes, moving without the ball, learning the opposing defense's tendencies...

Nothing short of brilliant basketball last night... if Jax can come back and not upset that apple cart, I believe we can be one of the upper echelon West teams by season's end.

:D

I've always been optimistic about the team (players)... I've abhorred our philosophy of smallball and 3 pters...

Its a good philosophy to make scrubs into something better.. our team has way, way more talent than that, and the leader of that revolution is Tay.

There's no point criticizing bad basketball if you aren't going to applaud good basketball...
