I've been so encouraged with Brandon's play over the last couple weeks. He's going to be a great player, and there's no one really to compare him to...unique like Monta. And their dimeanor's on court are similar.

Three weeks ago, I commented on how impressed I was with what I saw from Wright in a pregame workout in Oakland. I guessed that on another team, he?d have a real role by now. Well, Don Nelson finally gave him a chance to play the other day (now that Andris Biedrins is out), and Wright responded with 12 points on seven shots in 19 minutes. He also added seven rebounds and three blocked shots. Then, a few nights later, he put up 13 and 7. The young man can play. There?s a great lesson here, too: When you are not getting any minutes, you still must go out and get work done every day. So when your chance comes, you are prepared.

I watched Wright's entire pregame workout in Oakland last week, and I loved what I saw. The drills were spirited and smart, and Wright oozes skill and talent. On another team, I think he would stand out in this class.

Wright got some decent run in the Warriors' blowout loss at Detroit, so I was able to see his interesting set of skills. Golden State's offense allows him to roam around some and make plays out on the floor, and his mid-range jumper is decent. Watching him move suggests that he could ultimately play small forward for some teams, as he looks a lot like Tayshaun Prince. However, Prince has handled the ball his entire career. I wonder if Wright will find himself in the same spot as Tyrus Thomas -- extremely gifted but jammed between multiple positions.

No surprise that he's only logged 60 minutes thus far.
