Houston Rockets cut him. I mean, he's young, athletic and can hit a three. Would be a nice eventually replacement for Jackson.
Ellis, Belinelli, Green, Wright and Biedrins can look pretty good.

The dude just turned 22 tho. Green did quite well for the Celtics last year. I think getting traded was a shock to him because he's young.

I'd want the W's to sign Gerald Green just because he could really flourish under W's uptempo system. Prior to the draft Gerald Green has been compared to Tmac and I think alot of teams GM expected too much from Gerald Green.
Under the right guidance and playing style, Gerald Green could be real steal for the W's and be a perfect fit. He's super athletic and can run the floor. I'd cut POB just to get him...that's how much I think he could be good player off the bench.
Like BDiddy#1 fan said, he can look REAL GOOD if Gerald Green can prove all the critics/skeptics wrong?

He must be really good because Pietrus is not all that dumb. I say we should sign him.

He may be dumber than Pietrus but he has better ballhandling ability. I think that's a plus.
Pietrus might be gone this offseason anyways.

it'd be worth keeping him around as a project and since he's not a center nellie might play him...i wouldn't be opposed to it

I say we cut Pietrus and pick him up. He has better handles.

I'd sign him, no downside to signing him.

Outside of bringing in cupcakes for teammates, Green is in no way ready to contribute to a playoff team. The idea that he would be an upgrade for the rest of this year over a solid (if frustrating) rotation player like Pietrus is ridiculous.
Green still has enough potential to get another shot somewhere in the NBA next year. I would even bring him in next year for a FA contract at or near the vet minimum. For this year his best hope would be an audition with a team going nowhere (Miami? Memphis?, LAC?) that won't be hurt by playing him.

Even if we brought him in right now he wouldn't be eligible for the playoffs. I think March 1st was the deadline.
I wouldn't pick him up.

He would be good if he could change his mindset. Nellie would just break him here.
He'd be better than MP if his mind was right though.

They would have to cut someone to sign him no?

Pietrus is far and away the better player of the two.

They can cut CJ Watson or Patrick O'Bryant.

I know. I'm saying if Green had ever changed his attitude from the beginning, he would've been better than MP.
