Baron Davis scored over 30 points in three games of the four-game road trip just ended. His third quarter drives by Dwight Howard to put the ball off the glass and in the bucket tonight were the key to the Warrior win and is typical of his play against better opponents.

Without question Baron lead the Warriors over the first third of he season as he campaigned for the All Star team and Nelson gladly allowed him to do so. He slowed down as the game drew near and when the realization that he wouldn't be in New Orleans when he wanted to be set in.

Luckly for the Warriors, Monta overcame his training camp injury and early season funk to firmly establish himself as a star on the rise at the time Baron declined.

But now with 20 games to go, the biggest star is ready to lead "his team" to a playoff birth. To borrow from Reggie Jackson, Baron is the straw that stirs the drink. From here on out, it's Baron time again.

obviously this is some sort of "agenda" driven push by Baron

in all seriousness your spot on - this team will either make the playoffs or end up a 9th seed with a nice record, and it will all be dependent on Baron keeping up this level of play.

I'm lovin Baron's post game, dude is scoring on guys like Josh Smith, Marion, Shard with that turn around jump hook off the glass. Its sweet!

The best thing about it is that we now have more than one bullet in our gun so that even when Baron has an "off day" or two, we still have the ability to pull things out, not to mention we now are starting to look like we have a "real" bench when (or any one of our starters) get into foul trouble.

Imagine if Dwight Howard knew how to do a baby hook like the ones that Baron and Wright uses. He would be unstoppable. The Warriors were limiting his scoring because he couldn't get to the basket for hella dunks. If he knew how to do a baby hook he would have scored 40+ on us.

Al has a history of using his strength against the bigger NBA players... as much as I knock the guys hops, he's got a lot of strength in his entire body... watch him take a charge and see who takes a bigger bump

He doesn't let them get early position or great looks at the basket, and Dwight's simply not good enough offensively to be a focal point w/o those easy buckets.
