Here's some comparisons to the Warriors top 3 and top 4 players talentwise with the rest of the league (this is not including the bench where I think we are noww really starting to stack up well).
Our top 3 - Baron, Jack, Monta
Our top 4 - Baron, Jack, Monta, Beans
Boston top 3 (obvious) - Garnett, Pierce, Allen (edge - Boston)
Boston top 4 - Garnett, Pierce, Allen, Rondo (edge - Even but our bench may be stronger, we were stronger untill they acquired Cassell and PJ Brown)
San Antonio top 3 - Duncan, Parker, Thomas (Edge - Even)
San Antonio top 4 - Duncan, Parker, Thomas, Finley (Edge - Warriors, bench - San Antonio)
Utah top 3 - Boozer, Williams, Kirilenko (Edge - Utah?, bench - Utah but getting closer, especially if we use 10-11 players including Webber)
Utah top 4 - Boozer, Williams, Kirlenko, Okur (Edge - Utah but not if we use Brandon in our starting 5, I think we're at least equal)
Lakers top 3 - Kobe, Gasol, Odom (Edge - obviously Lakers)
Lakers top 4 - Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Bynum (when he returns) (Edge - Lakers but Warriors bench may have a slight edge if utilized properly)
Dallas top 3 - Dirk, Howard, Kidd (Edge - Warriors slight)
Dallas top 4 - Dirk, Howard, Kidd, Terry (Edge - Warriors , plus bench)
Houston - McGrady, Battier, Scola (Edge - Warriors, bench even although Houston's better utilized)
Houston - McGrady, Battier, Scola, Alston (definite Edge - Warriors)
New Orleans - Paul, West, Chandler (Edge - Charlotte, bench - Warriors)
New Orleans - Paul, West, Chandler, Stoyakovic (Edge - Warriors)
Portland - Roy, Aldridge, Blake (Edge - Warriors, bench - Portland (do not start their best 5).
Portland - Roy, Aldridge, Blake, Przbilla (Edge - Warriors)
Phoenix - Nash, Stoudemire, Shaq (Edge - even, bench - even)
Phoenix - Nash, Stoudemire, Shaq, Barbosa (Edge - even) *Warriors now have a decided chemistry advantage.
Denver - AI, Carmelo, Camby (Edge - Denver on paper, bench - Warriors slightly but better utilized)
Denver - AI, Carmelo, Camby, Martin (Edge - Warriors)
This is my best shot at it, please feel free to inject your opinions. The point of this post is to show that the Warriors matchup (talent wise with the best in the league with exceptions being the Lakers and Utah (unfortunately both are in our conference) so the fact that we're doing as good as we are should be should not be that great of a surprise and really should be expected (with this talent base) so don't get upset with some of us who may not seem satisfied some of the time. There's no reason we shouldn't be doing this good and couldn't be doing better.
edit: Added San Antonio
edit 2: Changed San Antonio, now starting Duncan, Parker, Thomsa, Finley, Bowen, Ginobli once again coming off bench.
edit 3: fixed some typos
