Great news! I don't think enough Warriors fans appreciate the fact that we have the most innovative coach in NBA history. Nellie's tenure here won't last forever so I think we should appreciate what we have now because things just wont be the same when he's gone.

Preemptive strike by the Warriors.
We'll see if it does them any good.

*Original thought* is overrated.

I'd still say its 50-50 that he retires anyways. Or he'll ask for more money and we'll repeat last off-season.

Let just trade our draft picks, B Wright, and Belinelli. No point in having youngsters around until after Nellie is gone. Also, no point in having a bench. Get the best seven players that you can and don't worry about 8 through 12 because Nellie won't use them.

Last I saw Brandan Wright got some meaningful minutes? How is Nellie being back bad for Wright?

Our ODB hates giving Biedrins minutes, you think he's going to sub in Wright for AB next season?

Definitely, Wright is not in a POB type doghouse with Nellie.

Biedrins hit the wall at the end of last season. Nellie knows he will need him for the stretch run and the playoffs, so why not limit his minutes if you can still win now?

Oh no's! I don't think I can used to 50 win seasons. Please bring back Montgomery, at least we know he would play Patrick O'Bryant.

One thing I don't think the Warriors haters such as LF510 get is that you can win ball games and still develop young talent. This isn't the 29 win Warriors of a few years ago. Better teams take longer to develop rookies. But just like a spoiled little 5 year old who's mummy won't buy him the toy he wants, they'll keep kicking and screaming until Nelly is gone and we go back to winning 30 games a season. Then all will be right with the world again.

We have so much natural talent that we don't even know what to do with it now... You think this team couldn't win 30 games? Any coach could win 30 with this team, except the guys who's bench the most important player on the team for a D-leaguer...

I'm an optimist though.. I'm holding out hope Nellie retires at the end of the season, knowing smallball's got them this far and wont go any farther... but if not, hoo rah for 50 wins and relevance - that's the goal of all NBA teams, long term

This is the funniest quote ever. Who is this POB guy? I don't remember seeing him at the All Star game.

People really need to put things in perspective.

It's amazing how Nellie (who had something like a lifetime 52.5% winning percentage coaching the Warriors coming into this season) has become a Bay Area folk legend. He's a good coach but has yet to prove that he is great. He's getting his last opportunity. Give the players the props they deserve, they're trying to get him there.
