y'all got nothing to worry about. We will not make a serious run at him. We'll throw him some paper, but I would be just shocked if GSW mgmt didn't immediately throw him the same amount of paper INSTANTLY.
I figure you cats would picket in front of Oracle if he were allowed to leave
I know I would if I were you.
The only issue for GSW could be having over half the cap tied up in BD, Monta, and Biedrins (depending on how much $ Biedrins commands). If lux tax hell is not a concern, you guys are sitting pretty as SAS, DAL, PHX, etc. all get older....

Hopefully we won't wind up with another Gilbert Arenas on our hands. 12 Mil is not unreasonable for Monta after the season he's had especially when you have deals out there already which are even more ridiculous. If you do not think he's going to be receiving some offers out there (some good ones too), you're fooling yourself. We're going to have a tough time next offseason keeping all our guys (which I believe we will do) but it's going to cost us. The tougher one I think is going to be Biedrins who if Nellie doesn't start using him wisely may just get disillusioned and try and go somewhere else. I believe there will be teams out there who are smart enough to make a run at him. Our payroll could really be a problem next year. Of course the Cohan haters will probably be rejoicing. lol. Thid is one of the reasons it's so important for us to make another good showing in the playoffs this year.

This really shouldn't be a problem for 3 reasons.
Monta is a RFA. GSW can match any offer sheet for him. This not only means that if GS really wants to keep him they will, but that a team with cap room (such as Memphis) probably won't make a move that could leave themselves with nothing while tying up their cap room.
Memphis already can Conley and Lowry at pg (neither of whom is that big), with JCN and Critt as sg's, and a top 6 pick in a pg/combo guard rich draft.
Memphis is cheap. They traded Pau mostly for cap space. Are they really going to offer a 5yr/$75M deal for Monta??
