playing for Nellie...None of these guys want to play C...Nellie would insist...It would end in a messy 1994 CWebb type of divorce...Nelson would hate coaching these guys in a traditional sense..He'd find away to get out the situation before he had to coach in the traditional way...

Nellie likes guys like Al, Higgins, Tolbert at the 5....Nellie hates the idea of a Biedrins improving enough to become a *must play* center...You can see Nellie with a huge 68 year old hard-on everytime he finds an excuse to bench AB or Wright..POB in the D League is Nellie's wet dream come true.

Odom's not my favorite player, but I think he would flourish here, and any time a guy is flourishing and the team is winning I think they'll be pretty happy.

I'd also think KG would be happy, because the Warriors would be winning and KG wouldn't have to be "the guy," which he dislikes.

You don't think Nellie would play KG or Odom alongside Biedrins? Not for 48, but I think more often than not we'd see either of those guys starting with Biedrins.

You may be wright about Duncan and Brand, who fit into a more traditional style that Nellie does not like to play.

Odom's a knucklehead... he's in the NBA because of his amazing physical gifts and ballhandling.

He's terrible at defense... I remember him biting on a Monta pump fake from 3. I think even Pietrus would have a chuckle at that...

And that right there is enough of a reason to play someone like POB. There is no substitute for natural physical gifts.

Do I think KG would have liked playing for Nellie? That's debatable... he's often passive as far as the big shot goes, and those obv. go to guards here. The other 3 though? They'd be miserable.

KG's on record as never wanting to be considered a 7 footer or a C..There's no way he would enjoy playing smallball for ODB's warriors.

I always chalked that up to him being a kid... but it seems the last comments of that were in 02.

I cant imagine any player wants to be a C in Nellie's systems... zero offensive touches, guarding the rim w/little help in a ball pressure D that encourages driving, physicality and traffic... just begging for you to foul out.
