Is poon a bad word?
Because we have quite a collection of old washed up poons brought in by King Nelson that have done exactly zero to help us win games.

Enjoy the afterlife, poon.

Can't help but think Nellie had this planned. He knew (well everyone kinda knew) Webb couldn't last much longer, and brought him out like that anyway. Man Nellie...

We have an open roster spot now right (out of 15)? Benson?

Last time Chris Webber left the warriors, Nelson was gone soon after...

We should sign that Lasme kid to take his roster spot.

It's too bad that Webber was not able to contribute here.

But Webber didn't earn much money, didn't cost any assets in trade... worse you can say is he hurt Biedrins fragile ego (I don't buy that) and cost him a handful of starts (big deal), that he cut into the playing time of Wright (not much), Patrick (not likely) or Kosta (also not likely).

In the end, net/net of zero. Big deal. Next...

Now with that roster spot, Warriors can sign a player, and that player can play in the playoffs for us as long as he wasn't on an NBA roster after, what was it, Feb 29? Though it would be tough for any player to come in at this point and earn some playoff PT, barring injury.

Maybe the most likely outcome is a guy or two get brought in for 10-day look-sees, so Warriors have a head start on filling out the roster this summer, assuming some of our roster fillers are likely to be gone.

As you well know Rowell, Miami has rights to Lasme for the time being. But I'd have no problem if he became available and the Warriors brought him back for another look. Ditto with Rod Benson.

I doubt though there are any unsigned vets out there that Nellie would bring in at this point... no Penny Hardaway part deux.

Wilt led the League in assists one season, almost 9 per game.

He can be Nellie's new point forward.

Ya know HOMER . . . my joke was doing just fine on it's own without you stomping all over the subtlety.

Way to go Carrot Top.

I still like Powell's upside. I really think he can contribute.

My Top 5 D-League pick-ups for the week (in no particular order):

-Benson: Has a little height, can run, and went to Cal. Love to see him in Warrior Blue/Orange/Yellow what ever their color scheme is

-Carlos Powell: Can score, has some athleticism and played on the summer league team. I mean, he would fit the look for a Warriors bench player at least.

-Elton Brown: His name almost sounds like Elton Brand

-Julius Hodge: I always liked this guy and think he could actually be a piece for us for next year. He could play backup combo-guard minutes better than CJ can imo. And lets be honest, its not like nellie would play a big if we picked one up.

Oh, and it looks like Antoine Walker has shrunk himself and is now playing in the D-League under a pseudonym:

Well C-Webb didnt really cost us anything or hurt us iny way and maybe now AB can start playing like he did before we signed C-Webb. My problem is the Lakers got Gasol...The Mavs got Kidd and we got diddly !
Couple that with Nellie's resistance to play POB...it aint good. I do like that Brandon Wright is getting some playing time (and has played well) ajnd exprerience but will the 2 players I mentioned push their teams deep into the playoffs while we flounder because our guys are dead tired come playoff time ?

I think I'm in the solo boat for.... RUBEN PATTERSON.

Just keep him in a cage on flights, don't let Monta's smooth face or Beli's shaved legs get near him, Ruben Patterson.

Or Lean-Mean- Danny Fortson.

Why either of these characters?

Because every Western team has a handful of guys throwing 'bos

Houston-Landry
LA-Whole squad... but Turiaf esp.
Den-Anthony + Kmart
SA-Bowen
Phx- noone... maybe Shaq
NOR- noone
Utah- The whole team is dirty...
