Bargnani is the perfect young center for Nelson

Post#1 » by Sid the Squid » Wed Mar 26, 2008 9:24 pm

Bargs is a weak rebounder/defender but he has great range on his shot and good ball handling skills for a 7 footer....He's a perfect fit here...I'd love to see what Biedrins-Bosh could do in Toronto..I think that's a good trade..We get screwed over, but we're getting f****d anyhow by ODB..Might as well let Biedrins go since there's no chance in hell Nellie will ever pair Wright and Andris on the court together..This way Biedrins gets to play for a real team and Wright has a better shot at averaging 8 minutes a game under our ODB in 08-09.

I love Barg, I would like him to be in our roster, but it takes to much to trade him here.

Bargani is garbage. We don't want him here. Especially if Nellie leaves after next season.

It must be the second day off in a row because anxiety/pessimism is through the roof today...

LF, you crack me up. What do you do for work that you can watch all the Dubs games, plus waste time watching the Raps and other probably other teams?

Anyways, scratch your proposed trade. If ODB leaves after next year (along with Baron) then we will get a new coach. And hopefully that new coach will see the beauty of BRight.

Monta at one guard, BRight at PF, and Beans at C is so damn quick, it is scary. Those guys are top three in speed and quickness at their respective positions. You pair them with some agile muscle and we are deadly.

A rebounding guard and small forward and we cover a lot of ground. Think about all the deflections that the next Keith Smart has to count.

2 quick points -

Bargs would be better here than anywhere else. Tons of Italians, free flow offense, rebounds are a luxury stat - he'd have it made.

Biedrins on the other hand is being wasted.

Does Bargs' talents being maxed out outweight the misused Beans? Eh.. tough call. But for one season? Nah. Nellie's not going to be around too much longer. I'm very optimistic in that aspect. One bad playoff series and its the beginning of the end...

I'll go out on the ol limb again and say if we're eliminated in round 1 or miss the playoffs, there's 0% chance Nellie is our coach by the 08-09 AS break...

I know there is a lot of sarcasm going on, but in all seriousness...Bargani might be a center Nellie likes, not necessarily one that would make the team better (with Nellie coaching it). An underused Biedrins is still more valuable than a zero D Bargani... I think so at least.

In a perfect world where the Dubs would actually have a chance to win a championship WITH nellie, the only player in the NBA that COULD do it is KG at center...has the outside game nellie likes, but also the D and post game...yes...that would be smallball on steroids.

Too bad this aint a perfect world

They're both putting up big numbers tonight....

Bargs with 3pts (1-4fg's) 1reb 0ass in 12 minutes

Yi with 2pts (1-4fg's) 2reb 0ass in 15 minutes

Twink making more lists of fellow board residents he can't wait to antagonize. Lucky little snot-- we don't have that kind of time on our hands. Or at least, we don't use it for that.

I care about everything.
Glad you got some entertainment out of this bunch of stiffs.

Massive Tools come here to commiserate and prove their amazingness. We are one. Twink is a very special one.

We got our .600 thread locked, by the way. I was ready to bump it when Denver went over again. You're 7-5 away from a Summer of giving me crap. Sharpen your knives if you're still on tap.

:P

I swear to you that I won't give you any crap. Here's why -

1. now that we have a shot at beating a Dirk-less Dallas, it's really an empty prediction on my part. If Dirk was healthy we'd split and probably end up with 49, with him out we now have a realistic chance at 50.

2. 50 will probably end up tying us with Denver (unless we beat them both remaining head to heads), which means they drop us into 8th. The only reason we'll be in 8th is because the Dirk-less Mavs drop into 9th.

3. a little piece of my enthusiasm died the other night when Nelson didn't rest the starters enough to leave them with anything in the tank in OT + Fisher/Delany turned a fun, incredible game into a debacle.

I appreciate your opinions and always enjoy reading them (minus the part where you verbally flip people off).
