Why can't Monta Ellis hit a mid range jumper anymore?

Pietrus can, Harrington can, Azubuike can, Baron can, Jackson can.
Why not Ellis?[/u]

Nope, if you watch yesterday's game, he never attempted one, meaning he knows he can't hit one, or just doesn't have confidence.

Maybe he didnt need to since he was killing them driving the ball.

But they can always adjust and its always nice to have a mid range jumper you know you can hit when they clog up the lanes.

How many mid-range jumpers did Pete knock down yesterday?
Oh that's right. None. His vagina hurt.

Forward Mickael Pietrus has been ruled out of Saturday's game in Denver and will be re-evaluated prior to Sunday's home game against the Mavericks.

Yeah, that's fair to say.
Given all the playing through pain that guys on this squad have done this year to stay as court ready as we have, I see it as a pretty big locker room betrayal for a guy who's ultimately not hurt that bad to say
"me protecting my body from potential future injury > what WE need to accomplish for a successful season today."
He's probably my 2nd least favorite part of anything related to the Warriros.
Thunder
Pete
Cohan.
On some level, I guess I'm hoping that if I'm loud enough, my message will spread (maybe ROWELL can shout it at him from those fabulous seats.) Somone near Pete needs to tell him to man the f

up.

Montas shot has been lined up...they just arent falling. Its not like hes clanking them from the side of the backboard. His stroke looks good.

I have noticed that Monta is struggling with his midrange jumper lately. To the point where now he is only as effective as the other players you mention rather than vastly more effective. I'd like him to get back to where he was, but I'm not going to get sucked into any sort of suggestion that Pietrus is a more reliable/consistent shooter than... well, anyone.

Give the guy a break. He's played all season and is probably averaging more miinutes a game than just about anyone these last two months (probably 40+). He also probably takes more of a beating than anyone else on this team due to his small frame (particularly since most of his shots are drives to the basket). I think his body is probably hurting and his legs most likely pretty sore which would definitely affect his shot. After his phenomenal 60% shooting he's more or less come down to earth to about 50% which more than likely due to nothing more than fatigue.
At the frenetic pace of the Warriors for this entire season, and the amount of minutes the main starters have been playing, they all likely are going to have to slow down a little, unless Nellie can find a way to rest them a little bit more which requires him to get more out of his bench, which he seems to be working on. Whether or not he is successful definitely remains to be seen.

If you watch Ellis play as of late carefully. he usually attacks the lane aggressively and then settles for his jumper.
They have been pushing him 1 foot out and disrupting his rhythme on his jumper; he rushes it now.
He'll have his jumper back by Dallas.

Outside shooting comes and goes for virtually any player. Monta is smart enough to take it the basket even more when he knows its not dropping, which we all know can't say about everyone else on this team

I gotta make one distinction here...
I also don't like Thunder and hate the Pizza Troup.
But the big inflatable 8 or 9 foot tall Thunder that is brought out in the fourth quarter that keeps its center of gravity at his feet and then bends in any direction, can do no wrong with me. I love that guy like a kid loves a new toy at Christmas. I always tell my son that I wish he could start at Center and clog up the lane.
(Too bad he doesn't fit in small ball).

I'm not thrilled with Thunder as a visual effect. But the guy (or guys) who actually wear the outfit are fine by me. I've seen him react to a variety of different situations (including hackling) with good grace.

Is hackling some kind of form of mascot abuse?
