The warriors gimmick ball had 3 assists at halftime...10 for the game!!...8 assists the night before in SA..We played lazy D and Nellie tried to defend the basket with Azubuike....We've been playing like crap for over a month...Before that we havnt really been good since a few weeks before the All-star game...
Yet here's Nellie going on and on about how good the mavs played..That they could be the best in the west...Nellie is one

As bad as the no passing is, and it's horrid, we know from experience that we can play even good teams within single digits with the streetball bs.
The reason they got blown out was they added in a huge dose of no defense. I'm looking at you Baron. I can deal when you take three plays off a game going for steals in transition but then play great d for many of the other possessions. I can't deal with zero effort all game like last night. 5 on 4 is a blowout in the nba against any team.
Either way, it's ridiculous for Nellie to do anything but call out his team or himself at this point.

Foooooooools Gold.
You want this team to be a frantic offensive and defensive team like earlier in the season? We're practically playing soccer here, running 48 minutes straight at high speed.
NBA players aren't built for that. They have way more mass than most soccer players. There's a reason this running crap never caught on - and we're witnessing it. Dead legs, tired players, no reserves.
We did well last year because we got fresh(er) legs mid season and we had Murphleavy weighing us down previous to that.
The only plus here is that we've already peaked so a Nellie bailing isn't too far away.

Actually, what we're witnessing is the exact opposite. Running to get easy possessions has caught on big time. Other teams are starting to do it. Other teams are starting to be ready for it.
Baron and Stephen being worn down is not because of the running game. That game is healthier for you than the grinding postup game. They are worn down because both are top 10 in the league in minutes played.

The only reason i want to make the playoffs fools gold or no fools gold.. is because that level of play will help monta, beans and wright.. see what it takes to be come an elite level NBA talent.
you cant get that in the regular season... its valuable experience they both need... hell even Al, and azubuike, and the rest of the sandlot crew can benifit from it.
the thing is... we should be building, devloping (whtever) towards a championship.. WHILE getting these young players this experience... i suppose you could say we are doing that now... but these **** rotations, and lineups are mind scorchingly terrible...
and thats the bigg beef i have... these dudes are now all tired as hell (maybe)... the threes arent dropping, theres no passing, no defense, and no rebounding... we might as well trot out belly and kosta.. they could probably accomplish that.
if the playoffs aren't made, it will be a shame, i think monta, especially after last years horrible playoff performance, would hurt the most from it though....
i wish our **** coach would adjust when the tactics cease to work...there is no adjusting..only bullheaded stubborness

Ah... I tried to infer that with the '48 minutes' thing but it wasn't clear.
To be really successful at it, you have to be deep, have great shooters, and great ball movement... honestly, we're 0 for 3 on that front.
Also keep in mind flop, how tired your legs get from all that running... now try and take on a team that does go to the grinding postup game. We wouldn't have a chance. Those types of teams - the SAs, the UTAs, the NOs - they are going to have an extreme advantage. They can beat smallball w/fundamentals, consistently. And there's no reason to think that another dominant big man won't come out of the woodwork and assume the Duncan/Boozer/West/Brand/Yao/Shaq/Bynum/Gasol/Amare/Dwight roles and just pound the ball down someone's throat. Odds are, at least a few of those teams are going to have good enough supporting casts to make that team a legitimate contender.
I dunno how the other 510 and I got into scrapes earlier... well said
