whats the warriors record gainst playoff teams.

let's say we beat the nugz thurs
were tied with the same rec against the conference.

so how does it work after that..

I think in a 2 team tie, it goes:

1. Better record in head-to-head games
2. Higher winning percentage within division (if teams are in the same division)
3. Higher winning percentage in conference games
4. Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in own conference
5. Higher winning percentage against playoff teams in opposite conference
6. Higher point differential between points scored and points allowed

Note that 2) would NOT apply in a tie between GS and Denver.

Here's the current records against west conference teams:
Denver: 28-20
GS:27-21

Both teams have 4 games agains western conference opponents remaining.

If the Warriors beat Denver on Thursday, both teams will have identical 28-21 records against the west. If this happens then it will go to record against playoff teams in the west. I remember these records being close too, does anyone know what they are exactly?

for reference, here's the point differentials:
Denver:110.6-107 = +3.6 points
GS:110.4-108 = +2.4 points

We better either pick up the defense or start scoring more points in these last four games. It looks like a very real possibility that it will come down to points differential...

We would have to beat the Nuggets by about 50 points to catch up in the points differential. It's not happening. If we tie, we're out.

It doesn't work after that. GS would be up a full game and thus wouldn't be a tie anyway. If the Nuggets then proceed to get back to a tie due to GS losing after, the Nuggets automatically win the breaker of conference record. Bottom line is the Nuggets take the conference tie-breaker no matter what if it comes down to a tie in regular season records.

How it works is... Warriors lose the tie-breaker with Denver. Just win out, and we're in!
