Raptors/Warriors Blockbuster Deal?

Post#1 » by samdon33 » Mon Apr 21, 2008 2:50 pm

As a Raptors fan, just wondering is there a possible Raptors/Warriors deal that could send Monta Ellis to Toronto?

Iono Id love to have Bosh on my team but havent seen to much of him play. To me he seems like a soft Big. Isnt much of a force like the other power houses. West Duncan Shaq Gasol Bynum, etc
Monta can actually carry us we we trade him were well are points come from.

Id trade Wright,Marco,Couple of Picks, Jackson or Al

Then use the TE on Mike Miller

Baron
Monta
Miller
Bosh
Biedrens

Al=6th man

=Championship 8)

I've seen Bosh play and he's got SF skills in a PF's body. While he's definitely an upgrade at PF, he's not the physical presence on the defense. I'd rather see how Brandan Wright develops before dealing Ellis.

Or how about we deal Brandan Wright, Harrington and this year's first rounder for Bosh and Parker.

According to those stats se is almost as good as Jamario Moon! :D

Seriously though, if the guy was that dominant he would lead his team to something higher than a sixth seed and .500 record in the East. Not to mention, he misses 10 games every year.

i wouldn't trade Monta + the Coit tower, in exchange for Bosh and the CN Tower.

Monta is untouchable. Stop flirting with our property.

The OP did not suggest that Bosh would be part of a trade. Most Raptor fans consider him untouchable.

He'll be an FA in 2 years - but his stats are not nearly as good as you would expect from a max player

..well,Garnett for several years could not get the Wolvews near the playoffs. Gasol wasn't enough for the Griz, etc. It really takes 3 real impact guys and at least 9 man depth.

LF's Monta + Harrington + Davis + whatever....sucks. In a year he'd be calling Bosh the Blunder From The Tundra or Boshfizzle or something.

The only person I would be interested in for Monta would be Bosh. Otherwise, no.

Bosh (as stated) is a wuss big man. He'd be perfect fit for playing Nellieball. He loves to shoot 3s. Good thing Nellie's only going to be here 1 more year. I want another banger and he aint it.

I would not call Bosh a wus...he's a slender PF who does not have above average D. He has a bunch of good stuff on offense and has become a good rebounder. If you start with shipping out 55 pt's from our offense...bosh won't replace half that. Trading for a guy who's sale price has peaked means we PROBABLY don't ultimately come out ahead. The best bargain is the guy just about to break out,or the good player getting underrated/under used. In SOME cases an ageing veteran,or a guy with an oversize contract CAN be a bargain.
