Nuggets are HORRIBLE

The top scoring team in the NBA, the warriors, couldnt beat the "no defense" nuggets during the regular season. The lakers are destorying the nuggets who apparently play no defense at all in the playoffs! its crazy...i know we have no kobe on our team, but we are the top scorers. The warriors vs the lakers series wouldnt be as bad as the nuggets series. we'd be a better series than the nuggets! so annoying.

I TOTALLY agree with you but it doesn't say much for us because we lost the last two against the "no defense" Nuggets that would have probably put us in the playoffs. Nevertheless I could see us winning at least two !

The nuggets have a chemistry problem. Their lack of heart comes from the fact that it's pretty joyless for them playing together even when things go well. When things go bad there's absolutely no incentive to do anything but get off the floor and head to Cancun as soon as possible.
Posters have pointed out a lot of similarities between our teams, but we are different in important ways. Denver has more talent and was able to keep pace with a two month long playoff race because our bench is SO catastrophically weak. But, our guys are are capable of finding another gear (when not exhausted) because our front five really do enjoy sharing the court with each other. That enthusiasm can elevate your play.
Denver needs to blow it up, and they've known it for a while. The Iverson trade never fit. Carmelo is being pushed andmarketed as a star/scorer too much to fit comfortabllly as a second banana (which is what he should be.)

Watch for AI to be shopped. Carmelo has declined since AI arrived.

I would say "exposed" is a more accurate term for Melo, but yes, Melo is younger so AI would be the one traded.
What a waste of Iverson's few remaining high level years.

True - on the other side, Iggy is getting exposed also. However, Philly will probably keep him

Iggy still doesn't have a lot to work with. I'm much higher on him than Melo. He at least has a competitors mentality and some force of will. Melo is quite soft.
He will get overpaid, but who isn't overpaid in the NBA?

And,
Iggy is getting "exposed" is a playoff series against one of the best TEAMs the NBA has seen in the post Jordan era. It's a small sample.
Melo has been getting exposed for two years as a chemistry problem and flacid competitor. This Laker series is nothing at all new.

If the Nuggets are smart they try to trade Melo for an established SG. The guy is a cancer, is a hood, and is a pretty uneven basketball player to boot.
I think Denver with a guy like Mike Redd is more of a dangerous team.

I'd draft Milicic ahead of Carmelo if they both were coming out this year..
Milicic is soooo slow and unbelievably soft..I'd still rather have Darko on my team

Redd is probably the only guy you could mention who makes me think "well, I guess Melo isn't so bad."

Redd looks like someone hooked him up to the air pump and forgot about him.

Mike Redd was the most efficient scorer on Team USA when he had other players creating and didnt have to do it all on his own. Not that AI is Jason Kidd, but I bet you that Redd on the Nuggets would look a lot more like the Redd from last summer than the Redd from this season.

Team USA means nothing. It's superior athletes playing rec league ball. It's exactly the type of game Redd can impact positively because he can shoot the ball, but he does pretty much nothing else on the court.
Look at the Redd era in Milwuakee. It speaks for itself. He's part of the problem, actually he's at the center of the problem. The guy has losing habits. No thanks.

Although as a Warrior fan, it would be fantastic.
(I know we're talking about trading AI, but I'm gonna dream for a minute here) Redd + Melo gives the W's 3 more wins this season.

Most of the time the great international team's are better than the USA...They play great fundamental basketball and kick some NBA azzz..In the medal round, the only team playing rec ball style is the USA

I swear to god my post specifies Team USA.
And of course the international teams crush team USA. Team usa is a pimping summer camp. It's the all star game with foreign chicks.
But you take the Pistons in season and they would crush any national team from any country they played 4-2 at best.
It's just because Team USA is such a farce that we make the internationals look so good.

it'd screw with andris' development, but i wonder if they'll make camby available. according to hoopshype, he only has 2 years left and his salary is decreasing.

Sleepy, I was a Redd critic for a long time, and am again... but I have to give him credit for season before last. He played D that season and showed me something new. This season was just a disaster for him, though.

I'm alot higher on Andre Miller than I used to be.
He'd be a real good big PG next to tiny Monta if you ask me.
I'd love for the Nugs to let Camby go, but even he's getting a little ancient.
