LB doesn't mean JR will get better... I think he has reached his peak by now.

I read on the Bobcats board that JRich promised to work on his ball-handling this summer. Then coffee came flying out my nose.

Let's see if Larry can last two years before he gets burnt out again.

2 years of LB is what ever poorly coached team needs..Webber the other night talked about how all the Detroit vets in the locker room talk about how they consider themselves better than everybody else because they were coached by LB...They don't pay any attention at all to Flip.

- Emeka might actually get the ball now.
- Felton is gonna feel a world of pain the first few months under LB, but it will be the best thing for him.
- strangely enough, JRich will benefit from the poor coaching he has had. He would have never become such a good shooter with a good coach because he would have never been given the freedom to lounge on the 3 point line... yet now he will be a pretty good inside out combo 2 guard.

Okafoyle saw the ball too much this year. He needs to grab a rebound and block a shot every now and again. He might be worth MLE money if he did that.
Felton could have a Chauncey-esque renaissance under LB if he's willing to take the coaching.

I like how Flip developed the young Detroit bench players.

JRich isn't really the issue with Charlotte. He is what he is.
Charlotte's issues are whether or not they have enought competant and healthy post players and their pg play - both from Felton and having a backup pg on the roster.

Exactly. He was worse than Andris offensively for most of the year and yet got a far bigger portion of the offense run through him.
At the end of the season when they were running hot he finally had his midrange post game going. That's what he needs to be dangerous. He's not big enough to dominate offensively on the low block - he needs the spinning hook bank shot from 6-7 feet to go down for him.

Larry Brown will use his typical illness excuses and bail when things go south. He's of the most disloyal coaches in the NBA.

Things have only gone south once in his career...That happened because Isiah strongly disagreed with LB's roster evalueation.
Yes, LB leaves after 2 to 3 years..But it's only because that's his nature..Scorpian and the frog. He leaves most of his teams in far better shape than when he arrived..You just have to be an OB to know that...
The youngsters dont even know about LB's pacer and spurs runs.

I agree.
It would be nice for JRich to challenge himself to play better defense. If he steps up his defense, he can silence the critics that he doesnt play defense. JR playing defense is an allstar.
And i do agree...Okafor needs to play his role and block shots and grab boards. He needs to use his solid frame to his advantage.

JRich challeges himself more than any current Warrior, player or coach. His defense under Musselman was excellent and his marked improvement from year to year has been excellent.
He was overpaid to be less-than-perfect.
Period. No one can question his work ethic or heart, sorry.
JRich will be an All Star, I think.

Hmm...interesting how you can rip on Nellie so hard for coming in and making a team better and then leaving but LB gets a free pass.
Also interesting how you can call Baron a disloyal quitter but LB coaches for NINE NBA teams and he is considered some sort of genious deserving of heaps of praise.
Then again...I am just being facetious. It is not interesting, just an inconsistency which goes against logic. I am used to it from you.
But keep up the cute posts. The anti Nellie/Baron/Warriors rants in every thread are sooo zany and clever!

Only time JRich played good D as a warrior, was after Stephan Jack arrived..JRich hated Mousetrap Musselman for benching him and letting Tawn (at the time the worst defender in the history of mankind) play every minute possible

am I traveling back in time?

Well, Jason worked on his shooting and became he 4th best 3-point shooter in a single season in NBA history this season. I agree his ball-handling is his biggest flaw - his defense wasn't all that bad this season - but Vincent was such an idiot he couldn't work on anything else. Brown is great at establishing team defense and with Felton, Gerald, and Okafor - all pretty decent defenders - Jason can benefit in LB's system.

lol @ Jason's D being excellent under Musselman.
Nobody's D was excellent under Musselman. The closest was probably Foyle and Sura.

Damp had his best years under Musselhead. Then again, his contract was expiring during that time so...
