Andre Iguodala?
Kevin Martin?
Elton Brand?

Any other ideas?

Lebron James, Michael Beasley

Should I add Kobe and Dwight Howard to that list or is that asking too much?

No, but realisticly, Monta's value is sky high right now. Would you guys trade him for a bigger 2 guard like Iguodala or Kevin Martin or a great big man like Elton Brand?

Not for trading Monta, however to answer your question, I would need a YOUNG all-star caliber big. However, for the other team, you don't trade big for small, so it's a moot point anyway.

Nothing any other team would give up.

Last year at this time, Monta could be had here for a bag of fritos..Now the Warriors posters here think he's so great, there's no trade possible

Little guys are fun to watch and everything..Monta's a very good little guy who could become a great little guy..But shrimps arent that important in this league..

This whole smallball Cohan-Mullin-Nellie era makes me miss the drought.

Monta's value was never that low.

But the whole ,"Bellinelli's better than Monta because he played better in summer league than Monta played in the playoffs" phase was rather odd. It also made it difficult to mock Knick fans who claimed, "Nate Robinson's better than Monta because he played better in summer league than Monta played in the playoffs".

Iguodala???

Pass on him... he's a great 2nd/3rd banana... if we trade Tay its for a star, and not one coming off major surgery either.

If we only knew what Monta could do with extended minutes at PG... this would be a lot easier... its really chapping the asses of the koolaiders lately... This whole scenario was presented early in the season :sigh:

If we were sure Monta was a 1 or a 2 right now, you could trade him... we have no idea.. so he has to stay. If he proves he can't be a scoring 1, I'd deal him... but a key to last season should have been finding this out. Going into the draft without knowing that is an inexcusable lack of foresight by the FO and coach...

Normally I'd say Brand would be a no brainer. With the injury risk, it would be tough to pull the trigger on that.

The only one who we were considering trading him for this past offseason to my recollection was as part of a KG deal. I don't recall anything else being discussed regarding Monta, so the "bag of chips" remark is really "a bag of bull" remark.

Hey unbiased guy... Monta's proven himself in the NBA, Rose hasn't... and even with everything Rose has, he doesn't have Monta's speed.... when Rose starts shooting over 50%, then you can break out the crack pipes.

Rose is definitely Faster than monta.. have you seen the guy in the open floor.. its comparable cause Monta is also fast.

No, see, when I watched Memphis play all throught the NCAA, I closed my eyes...

Rose is fast but nowhere near Monta's lightning ability... Rose's appeal is that he's quick and decisive with the ball and can finish at the rim. Comparisons to Baron (especially the tendency to fall for his own average shot) are much more accurate.

And I'm extremely disappointed that Abyss couldnt find a way to trade Monta for Pietrus, somehow..

Yea, I cannot be convinced that i have seen a faster player than Rose in the open floor.. He is faster than Monta easily.. I know that the fact that Rose is a man child at 200-205 and Monta is 162 you'd think monta was faster, but Rose is by far faster..
