Carmelo..This would make Joe Barry Carroll and the middle 80's look like the glory days.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they hit the red button. :nonono:

No chance he'll come here. No need to worry L.. er Sid. :D

This screams of a Mark Cuban type deal.

Ive got a bad bad bad bad feeling :droop:

Do you know how perfectly Baron fits the nuggets? Short contract - Big PG to play next to Iverson.

I'm feeling sick :droop:

I'm all for trading BoomFizzle, but this is a disaster.

If he was brought here I'd become a Hornets fan until he left.

Baron and Carmelo to Dallas
Kidd to Denver
Josh Howard, Anthony Carter, and Brandan Bass here

Monta/A.Carter
Stephen/Marco
Josh Howard/Harrington
B Wright/Bass
Biedrins/Kosta

Draft the BPA.

Any takers?

The trade works out fine for Dallas and us, but all Denver is getting is a 35 year old Jason Kidd. Doesn't seem like enough value for them in return.

A Kidd-AI backcourt... whoa...

but I'll take it from the W's end.

But Denver's salary problem is not fixed... maybe got even worse with this trade.

I think AI and Kidd would go quite nicely together. It also gives Denver a shot at getting further into the playoffs next year (since Carmelo and AI just dont seem to work well together). It also gives them a huge 21M expiring contract going into 2009 when they would--amazingly-- be about 20M under the cap.

Dallas may be willing to throw in a 2010 first round pick or something to make it happen, but I think Denver would be pretty stoked with this lineup...

Kidd
Iverson/JR Smith
Kleiza
KMart/Nene
Camby

I'm not sure about that for Denver, Nick. Two guards that can't guard anyone? :dontknow:

how is that any different from what they have now broham.

I wouldn't call it a given that Iverson will be back with Denver. He could opt out.

Yeah, but then you have an old Kidd without a solid consistent scorer and injury prone bigs... that just doesn't seem to work in the West.

i wonder what they expect to get for carmelo.

Carmelo should play a season in Italy, just like the legendary JB....
How about Belinelli's old Euro ballclub?
and by the way, DUI or speeding is not really an issue there.... 8)

I don't know why you guys don't like him... He is an allstar, and scores 20+PPG. He also is 23 years old... I would get him if we got the right offer without trading guys like Wright, Biedrins, Ellis, Belinelli...

Not sure why you'd object to getting Carmelo, Sid. You've always said that keeping him on the floor is a main key to Warriors victories...

Oh yeah, he was on Denver at the time.
