No way. Yi's value should be very low after his disastrous rookie season. 42%FG for a four is awful. Brandan will break out one of these years.

The pick upgrade makes this at least an interesting proposal, but I'm not sure I'd be inclined to do it. If Al is unhappy as someone reported here recently, and might be on the verge of raising a stink, that might make me reconsider further.

If you take Wright and Yi out of the trade proposal it isn't too bad.

Milwaukee plays no defense, so why would you want any of their players. The 76ers should draft Speights with 14th pick, then trade Baron Davis to Toronto for Bargiani and the 17 pick. At that point the Warriors should draft Javal McGee. This would give the Warriors a lot more size to compete in the West.

MeGee will give the Warriors a good player rotating with Biedrins. You will also be able to play them together. Bargiani is not a solid defender, but his offense ability is going to be solid in the future. He can nail the trays. The Warriors need size, otherwise they will not be able to compete in the West. Speights will give the Warriors the low post player they need. He also can hit outside jumpers. These moves completely eliminate the size problems the Warriors have. In addition, the Warriors would still have Monte , Jackson and Biedrins.  :D   :o

That deal in essence is 2 recent lotto picks Charlie V and Yi for one Wright. Desmond Mason an expiring deal for Harrington and moving 5 spots in the draft.

GS is totally winning out. Charlie V and Yi are more versatile players than Wright right now who does not have the shot to complement Biedrens right now. Yi and Charlie are long and versatile two traits Nelson favors.

Don't have just yet. Yi was limited, and he was injured. I think he'll be a decent 15-9 player someday...

The Warriors don't need guys who are big as much as guys who PLAY big. When I hear Bargnani and CV to the Warriors...it makes me think Reggie Evans ain't such a bad idea after all.

14/7....about like Bargnani...which Al H can do,and with a bit more scoring.
B Wright will also reach that level but with better speed,FG%,defense.

GSW needs a thumper/bruiser who can snag 10+ rbd.

Except for Ramon Sessions, I wouldn't trade for a single player on the Bucks

How about no more Yi to GS for awhile? and lets trade for good players not just "Nellie Type" players.

When do you think Yi is going to return to the CBA?

i don't love this idea, but it has to be considered. cohan would love this trade, and him pocketing more $$$ (via Yi's marketability) might mean more willingness to spend in the future, and this is essential consider that the Warriors will most likely capped out in next 3, 4 seasons.

plus, a year later i still think Yi fits in better with Beans compared to Wright. yes, we are all excited with what wright has shown in his limited appearance but looking at the big picture, he and Beans are likely too similar to be our future front-court, eventhough i want to think otherwise.

i am not as down on Yi as many here. the bottom line is Yi still has considerably better rookie season compared to wright and he did show good flashes in the early season. he just closed out the season poorly and everyone just jumped off the bandwagon. give this kid a legit coach and he might turn into something.

the moving up in draft was just a bonus, as does the salaries we could shed exchanging Harrington and Charlie V. I'd ship out Charles V the moment we get him and he should have plenty of interest around the league.

all in all, i think there are real benefits to this trade, although there's a good chance wright could turn out to be something great in milwaukee (he's a pretty good fit there).
