I think Ben would be great. he brings a great defensive presences.
I was thinking something like Jax and Al for Ben Wallace and a future first.
That may be too much but tell me what you think.

Well . . . Ben Wallace certainly fits with my philisoplhical preference for emptying Cohan's pockets in an orderly and expeditious manner, but no, Ben Wallace is not the place to spend a kajillion dollars if you want to be a good basketball team. There's no way I give up 2 rotation players for Ben and a pick (although . . . is that a pre-or post Lebron exodus pick?)
Ben is making 15million dollars per year, invites the hack-a-strategy, gives opposing teams a free extra defender to double our poor perimeter shooters when they try to attack the rim, and is 6'7" 1/2 with a host of steroid abuse injuries comming down the pipe any day now. He's a bad contract at half the price.
If Cleveland would keep paying a portion of his salary and cap hit a la Dallas/San Antonio for Michael Finley? Then I might consider ia Pietrus S&T but, I would want the Cavs paying off like 75% of that salary.
Are those arrangements still allowed under the CBA?

Biedrins shoot free throws better than him... and Wallace isn't pushing the shot like Biedrins, which makes it even more impressive.

The Summer is very young.
And yet, it would be almost impossible to do worse.
Ever.

The 49ers could definitely use him. Alex Smith is terrible

4 different Coordinators in 4 years is set up for disaster. He has to learn from one, not 4, to be effective.

Do you just make excuses for every underachieving pansy in town?
What's Barry Zito's problem?

Four different Coordinators in four years is a legitimate excuse for any young QB.
Now in regards for the trading for Ben Wallace, please horible idea.

Fine...pick one and learn something. Smith hasn't noticably improved and is hardly better than a good HS QB,he's regressed from day one. At Utah Smith could reliably hit a wide open reciever 20 yds away,as a pro....he can't.
Most of the Niner's last 6-7 rd 1 picks are gone....released or allowed to exit as FA's,yet Smith has played more like a 7th rd pick and shows no real progress.

As for Ben Wallace....He was a terrific player but he's simply over the hill and no longer the Athlete he was. Ben's game relied a lot on him being physical and mobile. Slipping a bit means he can't dominate the paint-and then what he Never could do gets more relevant. Meanwhile the $ are big and the seal ain't short. A guy his age who declines a few years in a row-being "over the hill" is likely not gonna bounce back or even match last year. No sense in trading starters or picks for an older, more costly Adonal.
