Please Vote For Me (Scholarship) (Pietrus, yes or no?)
Can ya'll Warriors fans and friends do me a favor? I'm trying to win this scholarship, but I gotta place in top 250 in order for me to be considered. It's a contest to post up your favorite shoes. Do you think you guys can vote for me? I'd really appreciate it. (I'm a poor college student just trying to make it through) If you vote, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! (Mods, if this violates any forum guidelines, just let me know and I'll take it off immediately, please don't ban me)

I will vote, once Mikael Pietrus signs a new deal with the Warriors, Why would they not resign him? He is a great player. Don Nelson knows that.

Your buddy Pietrus wants to go where the money is, and the money is not being offered here at Golden State. How much is Pietrus gonna get here? All I am asking for is a $500 scholarship.

So where's your source that Pietrus is staying? I wouldn't mind Pietrus staying if he played like he wanted a contract every year. I really appreciate his enthusiasm and love for the Warriors organization when he doesn't have his own self-fish agenda. Now where did I get that information? I watched every single game he played this season, and it shows.
I enjoy your humor Abyss Impact, I really do, because your comments actually make me chuckle even without credibility.
Big thanks brownwarriors and Mr. Wonderful for voting! I really appreciate it!

I never really said he was going to resign, but I said once he does, but you said the Warriors won't pay him, so unless you have a good source, they never said "the money is not being offered here at Golden State".

Let me ask you, do you seriously think Pietrus will be happy here with Golden State with a 3 million dollar contract?

Pietrus will be happy when he gets to play SF instead of PF, according to the interviews he have been doing.

What are you talking about? Aren't you the one happy that Pietrus is injured so he doesn't make his mistakes any NBA player make, even though Mikael Pietrus' play is why the Warriors are so good last season.

Re: Please Vote For Me (Scholarship) (Pietrus, yes or no?)
AI - posters here dont seem to realize (or want to realize) that Pietrus did have a vital role in the teams success last season. As in all things, the bad/negative things stick. Him wanting to be traded/or him being unhappy (id need a source on that one) is what everyone judges him on. Or maybe the fact that he was a lottery pick with beyond high expectations...ie: French Jordan...and we really never gave him a fair shot to contribute at his true position. Mike D wasnt going to sit the bench and neither was JR. JR leaving opened the door for Monta, not Pietrus. And Jack is a proven starter.
It is a fact that his signifigance was missed. Even Nellie acknowledged he was playing his best ball, got hurt and the Warriors starting sliding. I never was a fan of Pietrus, i vouched for Mike D at all measurements, and ive said it all along, Pietrus will shine outside of Oakland. Although i would love for him to come back. He was one of the top bench contributors on our squad, and our bench was rather thin. But i just dont see him wanting a bench role.

Lets Go Baron Davis...i dont care what jersey you put on. Lets go.

Re: Please Vote For Me (Scholarship) (Pietrus, yes or no?)
Do you really want Jackson's no defense (shot not falling, on other side of court complaining to refs making our players play 4 on 5), 3 for 21s (He has A LOT of these last season), and a shot chucker (reason why he is 20+PPG)?
Or do you really want Pietrus' lock down D, not chucking, flashy blocks, corner three, flashy dunks?
I'd take the younger more athletic Pietrus any day.
Stephen Jackson is a bench player at best, but with his constant shot chucking ballooned his PPG thinking he is a good scorer. I guess every player makes a difference.
I hope Mikael Pietrus stays as a Warrior, look what happened to Jamison? We shouldn't let good players go/
